Working To Keep Lands Open

Recommended Posts

Info from another list I belong to............written by someone trying to make a difference to keep our lands open.....

This is incredible, the San Bernadino board of Supervisors adopted a new vision statement:

"Our vision for the future of the county includes ... recovery and maintenance of multi-use access to public lands, including regional parks, national parks, national forests, state parks and Bureau of Land Management areas.' "We say 'restore' because we've had rights taken away from us by the federal government, all of us,' said First District Supervisor Bill Postmus, who represents most of the desert area, and has been a staunch advocate of reopening certain desert lands.

You can read all about how the closure activists are screaming in the article at the link below.

This person talked to the Supervisors office & congratulated them on protecting the public's right to access public lands. They were pleased & surprised to hear a positive comment. They need our support. Send them a quick email if you can. They need to hear that the public is behind them.

It's an article about the San Bernardino County board of Supervisors and how

they are supporting opening areas back up. Sounds like they're getting beat

up by the enviros and need some support.

The Boards contact info is listed at:
