4th Noobs Overnight Camping Trip

Recommended Posts

Well we did it again, a simple dual sport overnight event.  Great turnout, 13 people at the coffee shop, 12 went on the ride and ten ended up camping out.

I didn’t take a ton of pictures but will be getting a video up in a couple days.  I borrowed a couple pictures from Jim.  Post up your pictures and your thoughts. Lots of people asked when the next one is.  Let’s go!

One of these years, I’m gonna make one of these. I bet the “spirits” were really flowing!

I had every intention of making this year like I had in the past, but the prior weekend did a real number on the back that will keep me off the bike for at least a few more weeks.
Could not even drive out in the truck. Glad you had a good turnout.

I had a great time on the new Michelin 95/5 streeet/dirt tires, and luckily didn't dump a chrome bike.  Here's a couple pics I took.

I don't think I've ever met a group of nicer guys, and the camp equipment I got from Jaja kept me nice and warm even though it got a bit chilly for the other guys.

Might try a different format for those pictures, they ask to be downloaded on my device.

New format for the pics, I got a new phone and have been taking pictures in a weird format so far.  One of these photos is proof that I brought my naturemaster.  Pretty sure Tom is the only one that knew the reference, One is of the steak that Chris brought, he is now Gordon Ramsey, all the spices were represented.  Also, I thought it was funny to see someone looking at the fire wearing their headlight.

That looks like a great run.

Did you all have to ride a lot of freeways or mainly back roads?

I ask as with my 390 Adv I can't do much freeway riding.

No freeway on this event, just depends on how you get to Ramona.  Justin rode his TW200 to the event from his place in El Cajon, so the 390 would be fine.  The route is not long, so I usually suggest that if you want to do more dirt/distance you can get it in before the meet up.

My explorer gave out between Ramona and Santa Ysabel.  My dog and I got a long tow truck ride home.  Bummed I missed it.
