I know I need a stronger for my TT600 but as for now, I don't know what I have installed. So I like to get a collection for testing and measuring on the work bench. If you can bring some to the tech day, it would be great. I have a few. Do you have the ID? Or do you just need a known spring rate? I've also been tasked with bringing some tube for your kickstand Edited September 9 by tubebender

I don't technically need to do it. I'm just giving everything a refresh while I have the bike completely apart and it's a good learning experience. I also lost 4 of those needle roller thingies so I kinda have to get the rebuild kit as I'm not sure where to source more of those lil' buggers. 😫 EDIT: I think I might be able to source the parts I need and won't need to replace everything as it looks okay minus the bearing seals. Sorry about going back and forth. 😩 Edited September 9 by sesamegirl
tntmo 1007 Posted September 9 It’s definitely something that can get done at tech day. Sometimes we just end up hanging out because nobody brings anything to work on. Other times everyone stays busy helping each other. Bring it, I’m sure there will be help. 1

I think I have a couple laying in the yard, take what you want they are off KTM dirt bikes for the most part.
Stutz 40 Posted September 10 Hello all, I'm new to the group. I would have loved to come out just to meet people and get some opinions on freshening up my old '72 SL, buuuuut, the Coronado Police department is doing their "Ride to Live motorcycle safety training" course Saturday and I'm signed up. I don't know if it's any good, but it's free and supposed to be for non-beginners. I can put up a report on the event once I complete it. https://ridetolivesd.com

Thanks, I will be on my daily rider that day for the Police thing if it's over fairly early I might just come by to say hi. My SL doesn't have turn signals(Pre-73) a working horn or a speedo, so I figured I may get hassled by the fuzz if I showed up on it. It has a tach, I want to know what's happening in the engine but that's about it. If I'm in 5th gear on the freeway it's near 1:1 speed to rpm x1000 anyway. 925 chardonney way 92029? tntmo 1007 Posted September 14 We had donuts! Thanks to Dave for once again hosting, under his hostile exterior there is a small bit of heart. He did some excellent machining for me, I could have just drilled a crooked hole and it would have worked but he is a perfectionist. Burgers were so good that I had two.
