I'll check if I still have tracks. My favorite 100ish mile loop was to start at pinion do heart attack hill down to fish creek, into blowsand in ow, then san felipe wash into town via inspiration wash or exit near the borrego dump. Then up montezuma down to grape vine down to hwy 78

If on a big bike, I would say advanced rider is suggested

Mr.JAJA 409 Posted January 11 We just did this with the Jeep last year.
Mr.JAJA 409 Posted January 11 This is the loop from palm canyon to Borrego spring dump and back. 100 miles. I don't recommend the Heart attack hill for a Big (900 and over bike) it can be done, but you can damage a lot. Diablo drop-off is a better choice. you can take the safe and or the hard way. new-track-112224-090241.gpx

Pokey151 281 Posted Monday at 04:24 PM we should plan a ride soon for those that want to do the loop?
Bluhdow 18 Posted Monday at 09:25 PM This past weekend I did a modified version of the Pinyon, Fish Creek, San Felipe Wash loop. 98 miles on the nose. It's a really nice bit of riding. I ran it on the 500. It seems doable with the 890, but I would want a buddy or two to assist at the tougher sections if needed. I'll explore the southern sections down near the train tracks next, on the 500. I'm open to joining a ride out there if my schedule allows. Particularly a big bike ride if there's interest. Keep me posted!
Bluhdow 18 Posted Wednesday at 05:25 PM Anyone know the route to get to the Goat Canyon Trestle Bridge?
SpaceCowboy 71 Posted Wednesday at 07:15 PM (edited) Here's a cool small bike loop. Stayed the night at Blair valley camp ground then rode this. Does the squeeze, then heart attack hill, then loops down near superstition. through some crazy alien like landscapes and hills, then Gas and lunch in Ocotillo, then back to camp along the S2 with optional side loops. I'm itching to get back and do it again. Goat canyon trestle trail is shown in orange, but I THINK it's hiking only. We skipped that part because it was just an out and back and we were chasing daylight, so I don't know for sure anza_borrego_2023_gpx.gpx My brother and I will attempt a modified version of this Feb. 1 weekend. Planning to start in Borrego springs, ride up Fillipe wash, out to superstition mountain, then follow these tracks to ocotillo for lunch and gas, then either up the S2 to loop around or backtrack back to Borrego Springs. Depends if we want more desert or street ride back. We'll be on 450s, we don't have big bikes Would be stoked to have ya'll out with us Edited Thursday at 04:04 AM by SpaceCowboy

Pokey151 281 Posted Thursday at 09:24 PM Anyone riding this weekend? I'm torn on where to go. @Rjg967 wants to hit the desert to prep for a race, or go explore new to me places on the 500 (goat trestle or something like that), or hit Fox Raceway

But I was talking to Walker with the KTM 400, he's down to ride anytime. That would be a fun run to do, valley of the Moon and the trestle.
