shutterrev 469 Posted August 21, 2022 Went on a ride with Chris today, I was on a timeline - had to meet my wife in Santa Ysabel at 10:30-or-so-ish. Chris has been off the bike since October after an accident, so today was also the christening of his new 890 R. The 890 R seems like a super great option for a middle sized ADV bike. Let's start with a glorious shot of what I call my '690 Adventure' And a bunch from the gopros of Chris getting right back to business on the 890.

cmbthumper 160 Posted August 21, 2022 Great pics. Funny but not funny is that gate #2 up to the pines aka the Glider Port has the most diverse road you could imagine for a local ride. Tarmac, Washboard, Easy fire road, blind corners, sandy, rocky, open straights, rocks, slow 1st gear sections, slow 1st gear sections in rocks. on coming traffic, blind corners, loose soil, no grip, lot's of grip, dusty, jeep dorks, ADV dorks and the list goes on. It is a 7mi training road that if you can survive to an awesome view in any of the the 2 seasons CA offers is a feat in itself. Then the journey back down is even more fun.
shutterrev 469 Posted August 21, 2022 @cmbthumper agree! and when you are on a Timeline and it’s 20 min away, it’s the business! Haha

That's why we do it! 😉
