Small/old/weird bike ride…anyone interested??

Recommended Posts

Ok, I broke out my Trail 90 for the KUSI interview a bit ago.  Been riding it around the neighborhood and having a blast.  I’m wondering who else has a small bike, an old bike or just a weird bike?

It would be fun to get together for a crazy bike ride day.  Maybe ride up Otay Truck Trail, Black Mountain, or even just cruise around Fiesta Island?

I’m thinking of some parameters, your bike should meet at least one!

1:Under 200cc

2: 1979 or older

3: Factory street legal two stroke

4:  Drum brakes only

5: Any scooter

6: KLR650 (these people need all the help they can get!)

8: Anyone who doesn’t meet the requirements and wants to join has to ride in a tuxedo

9: ??

Any other ideas?  Anyone interested?  I think it would be fun to get out on some stuff other than the regular KTM and BMW fest.   If you have a bike that fits the categories, let’s plan it out!

Pedals…I will allow it!  Tuxedo is optional for anyone, though.

Surely someone in this group has some property and a Bobcat.

Make it a minibike race and I'll join on my wife's TTR-125. 😃

That’s basically a modern race bike.  Get a tuxedo from GoodWill or dig deeper in your arsenal!

I can show up on the 525 thats about the closest I have to your requirements, if I did not wear a tuxedo for my wedding I am certainly not going to wear one for a ride.

I want to see you ride it 10-15 miles standing up, maybe wheelie half the time.  I will give you a plate!

I have a 1999 KLR 650 that is missing one radiator shroud and the other is mostly attached. Hoping the ride is on a weekend and I'd be extra excited if it is near San Marcos!

Well the big bike can travel!

I’m not sure how long I can ride a Trail 90, been doing 30 minutes at a time around the neighborhood.

Same here, no clue how long I can put up with a bike minted when I graduated high school. I’m in San Marcos and the 650 is road ready and legal. How far do I need to go to get close to you?

I’m just putting out the feelers here so far, I wasn’t sure what kind of interest this idea would have.

That being said, I’m in the Lemon Grove area.  I will likely truck the small bike to wherever the ride takes place.

I’m going out of town for a while so will see if we have more interested parties and then organize the ride after I’m home.

I ride a 2012 KLR 692 and don’t need any help, so I guess I’m not included. Ha ha.😁
