Zubb 1061 Posted December 28, 2021 Had an ADVrider acquaintance from Boulder truck his 1090 down for a few days of riding this week. Not to be dissuaded by our winter weather, we spun up a half day ride yesterday. Pio Pico - Otay TT - gun club- Marron Valley TT - Tecate - the ‘high trails’ east to the tunnel- Campo. when Mosko Moto came out with their new ectotherm jacket, I really thought I would only use the electrics in it on tours north of California. I got to tell you on days like yesterday it is awful sweet to just hit the button and your jacket, your body, arms, neck instantly heat up. Even at 90 miles an hour in the cold morning temps that thing is sweet! Sure beats bundling up and feeling like the Pillsberry doughboy. not to mention heated grips for the win. The trails east of Tecati got a little greasy in places but nothing that I would call even intermediate level. All the heavy equipment from wall construction is gone, and some of the roads have been rerouted a little. I was also glad to see that most of the death clay mud from a year ago is gone. The surprise of the day was ‘the tunnel’ Looks like things have changed. 3
