KTMrad 508 Posted May 28, 2021 Sometimes you find the coolest stuff when you least expect it. Saw some hiking trails on the map just a couple miles away from our motel, Calaveras Lake in Carlsbad. I needed to get Doc out for a short hike so we went to check it out. To our surprise we stumbled across one of North America's smallest ancient Volcanos...had no idea this existed in San Diego County.
