Anyone Familiar with REVER GPS Software ?

Recommended Posts

I tried it, put the app on my phone and used it a few times.  Works well, about the same as any of the other apps you can download.

I have a few others, suggest trying a couple and finding the one that works for you.

That's too much work, I don't have the patience. 🤣

I know, I'm going to have to figure it out on my own, I just hate this techno crap.

Get Paper maps from AAA. I never travel without a Compass and paper maps.

I’m a heavy Rever user. If you want half off the pro version let me know. I have a code from them for Our Meetup group Motorcyclists of San Diego.
the free app is really good and simple. The Pro level is typically $50/annual ($25 with my discount code). I would like to see more people use it so they don’t pull it from us for lack of use.
I prefer to build routes on the desktop and then upload them to my NavV. It’s works like a charm. I’ll never have to open that gawddam Basecamp again.

I will, but they're not that great for other countries and don't show all the back roads in Mexico.

I've always traveled with AAA maps.

Yes, I agree with you.  They definitely can be useful, though.

Garmin NavV on my 1200 GSA. The Rever tracks are exported to my desktop as .gpx

then I drag it onto my Garmin that’s plugged into the computer. Presto.

I Googled Garmin NavV and nothing pops up with that name.

BMW has been using the Garmin Navigator 4 5, and 6 series for many years. They are extremely effective/useful for moto Nav on and off road.
If you are looking to buy something I highly recommend the new Garmin XT.

Rumor  https://advrider.com/f/threads/garmin-zumo-xt-better-then-montana-for-off-road-use.1448160/page-2. ( on the internet ) is that the XT uses an Android bases system that does not do tracks well.   Zubb , you may have an opinion on this.
My. Experience on  the TopoActive. Software is that it is just colorized City Nav.

I'm thinking of just using phone gos and mapping, with my old 60csx as backup, this way I don't have to spend another$500...but I still need to talk to a couple people like Loren before making a decision.

My phone is Android.

I've been told maps.me and Google maps is a good way to go.
