Another afternoon in the high desert valley 12/23/20

I had meant to get out to the dirt by 9, but some unexpected errands first thing in the morning delayed my trip....so it was another afternoon ride.  The trip out was the worst, as wind gusts were pretty high and buffeted my Jeep around on the I-8.  Cool, overcast weather was the reward, when I got there, and only a few other vehicles in the staging area.  I was somewhat unmotivated though, but still managed to have a fun time, because as we all know, a day on the trail will always beat any other kind of day you might be having.
