Mr.JAJA

Tuesday ride to the top.

Recommended Posts

Good turnout with only 2 beer for 5 guys. I left Ramona at 4:15 and went via Black Canyon, Mesa Grande, Palomar Mountain, Fire Lookout ,down to the Nate Harris Grade and found the first spot where I can see the west horizon. Some nice old story's where tolled and long  time connection found.

The Campground is close, but the lookout where open, so are the roads thru the park. Its a shame that the restaurant/giftshop on the intersection to the Observatory is closed. There have the best Browne Fudge, I ever had. I normal stop there and have one with a nice hot coffee. We left around 7:59 and I made it home by 9:00. right for the bead time.

Nice Udo. When I went last week the lookout was closed. I really wanted to go up there. I am surprised the group did not go up. I will have to go back with the lookout now being open. Also I would like to run some of the trails/ roads in the park before people take it over again.

Thanks for posting

I read on the their website  last night, that the park is open, and that only a campground or two are closed.  All the day use areas are open.

Everybody split up to hit the road home before darkness fell.  Dinner was whatever you found on your own. For me, left over Italian meatballs and ravioli.

I had my dinner (Ritz Crackers with Grapes) on the mountain.
