Birthday Drive By 5-11-20 in El Cajon

Recommended Posts

I’ve been keeping in touch with my friends dad after my friend passed away two October’s ago. He’s gonna turn 81 on Monday, and I would like to do a Birthday drive by probably 6:30-7:30. I’m waiting to hear when other friends can make it. He’s on South Cuyamaca st. in El Cajon. I’m thinking of meeting up at Parkway Plaza at the Northwest corner, the old Sears lot. I’ll update details of time, when I verify who’s coming and when they can make it. Most importantly for me, and all of you, is to make this a socially safe parade! I’m not looking for a huge crowd, I just want him to know he’s being thought about. He doesn’t have any more family here, his daughter is in Tennessee, and Granddaughter is up in Washington. He’s been isolating, only going to the store as needed. My friend Kenny was my best riding bud for a few years, and his dad has ridden over the years, but he’s also a car guy. He’s been involved also in the Studebaker club and has traveled to go to their events. So, this does not have to be a motorcycle thing, but that’s what I’ll be doing. If you have a classic car, he would love that. Anything is good though. Post up if you’re interested so I have an idea of how many.
Be safe,

Wierdrider

I just emailed the president and.VP of the local Studebaker club. I don’t want it to blow up like the other nights event. So no Facebook please.

Ken, I would really like to do that, but I want this to be safe. I would much rather be safe than sorry.

Lurking......   How many cruiser's you lookin' for?

I might try and get my uncle to let me take him out in his 33 Willy's for a little spin. I need to get by and see him anyway, and he's having trouble driving this one any more due to bad knees and stiff clutch. It probably needs a putt to keep it in proper form. He's in El Cajon. so it wouldn't be any trouble if he's up for the gig.

I'll watch the thread to see if it's getting traction.

Cheers to you Jim

It's in the first post, Monday sometime between 6:30-7:30 (1830-1930 for you military fux).  It's probably five miles or so from your place.  Hope to see y'all there.

Planning on leaving the Parkway Plaza parking lot 6:50ish

Regarding how many Bob,  however many we can keep socially safe? The parking lot should be ok for several people to isolate.
5-50?
Thanks for the interest 👍👍
