Mr.JAJA 380 Posted May 5, 2020 Kick ass killer ride on Sunday. Doors are open again and you can see that on the streets and dirt roads. We had 5-12 bikes at some time on the ride organized by RiggerDan. Meetup on an empty parking lot far south for me. That meant that I have to get out of my comfort sleeping zone and got up at 6:00Am. Got dressed in the Garage and left at 7:00. I had plenty time to fantasize about a empty Apocalypse Parking lot and World. And short before the KSU all the other guys arrived. Nice 200mil plus ride with 60% street and 40% Kickass dirt. Otay mountain and Tecate peak, just stunning.
Ken S 164 Posted May 5, 2020 Nice. We did a similar length ride out of Alpine yesterday. More like 60/40 dirt street. Perfect weather. Lots of people out enjoying the outdoors while practicing proper social distancing.

Riggerdan 147 Posted May 5, 2020 Really good to get out and ride this last Sunday 5/3/2020 We maxed out with 12 riders - everyone seemed to be capable and enjoying a nice cruise up/dn the mountain Made it just before the 250 monument and got turned around from BP seemed to be a lot of activity up there... Back up and down through Marron Valley to the 94 - few riders peeled off and the remaining headed up Tecate Peak where we had the place to ourselves Great views but not as clear as I would have thought All in all good safe enjoyable community dual sport ride thanks for coming out few pics below - not too many, ran out of film...

Wierdrider 187 Posted May 5, 2020 What an excellent ride!!! On the way up Otay, we must’ve passed 10-20 jeeps, it was crazy. The jeeps were stopped and most of our group got by, four of us were bringing up the rear when 3 of the jeeps took off. We ate their dust for a bit till Jon ( 97xr400r ) on the mighty 950 SE who was sweeping all day ( thanks Jon ) had enough and passed us and got up there arses to let them know we wanted by. It took them probably 10-15 before they made it to Doghouse after we got there.Dan already sweet talked the first BP to let the big crew through, but no go here. It’s all so good, gave me an op for a couple photos. The crew, 12 total not knowing at this point if we’re going East, or heading back West?sorry for cutting you off SanRiderLooking back Southwest, Jon liked my vantage point for this photo As we headed back to Doghouse, we were passed by two quads and a couple of dirt bikes. On the way down from Doghouse we were passed by 5-6 dirt bikes and a couple of Razors, it was REALLY HOPIN up there Sunday.TECATE PEAK, I finally can check this off the bucket list. Dirty and happy!!!Dan posing for me, or was he?The views were spectacular! I believe they said it is 3900’ elevation up on Tecate peak. All six of us headed down to Tecate where some gassed up. We then rode 94 to Bachman Springs, to Old Hwy 80 to Sunrise Hwy where we said the goodbyes to the Ramonians. We said goodbye to the other WeeStrom rider Mosh, who hung with us well, and needs a skid plate badly. I followed Riggerdan down to Japatul Valley Rd, to Lyons Valley Rd, waived later at 4 corners and I continued back the way we started the day down twisty Lyons Valley Rd. I think it was only 150ish miles for me, but was just a perfect day! Thanks for putting the ride together Dan, thanks again SDAR! Ride on, and be safe in this new world, Wierdrider out.
