SDAR Volunteers Needed for 2020 Desert Dash

Recommended Posts

Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen 🤣

Hi All,

The 17th Annual Anza Borrego Desert Dash put on by SDAR is in the planning stages and we're looking for volunteers.

Big news is the venue has changed to camping and start/finish at Stagecoach Trails RV Park on Hwy. S2,  just a few miles north of Butterfield Ranch.

We want to make this another successful event (which helps keep SDAR alive) and hopefully even better than previous events.

Dates are 2/21 thru 2/23/20.

Please consider helping make this yearly event a success.

Volunteers needed:

Eperienced Sweep Riders

Registration

GPS Downloads

Support Vehicles

Friday night volunteer dinner

General help with organization on site at Stagecoach Trails.

More details to come.

Thanks in advance.

Just got word the regular sweep crew of DSTSS and the guys from Yuma can't make it this year, so we'll need a really good sweep crew of 4 experienced riders for Saturday.

Also, I plan on going riding on my KTM 950 in November, December and January to lay out routes, so wouldn't mind an experienced buddy or 2 to ride with me.

I’m likely to be available to sweep and also to do pre-running.

Hey Folks,

We are a little over a month out from the annual Desert Dash.  We really need to know who is interested in volunteering. We are hosting at a new Rv park and we need to know how many volunteers, what type of camping/ accommodations you are bringing.

Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering

Thank you

I'm in with a truck and trailer (20'). Dry camping is fine. Thanks!

I come out with the truck camper only. No bike.

Dry camping. Do I need to call and make camp reservation? Will help with whatever I can do. ( No toilet cleaning)

We still could use some more volunteers

We could use sweep riders as well as someone who would have a chase vehicle for bike extraction if needed.

If you want to volunteer, please come to our meeting for volunteers to discuss the event and lodging at Stagecoach Rv park. Meeting is 2/5/20 at Filippis Pizza Grotto in Kearny Mesa from 6-9pm. See post in "Upcoming Meetings".

Right now there are only 7 people committed to volunteer, guess we'll have to survive with a skeleton crew.

We could definitely use a few more volunteers, please let us know if you're interested.
