Info on where TO and NOT TO ride

Recommended Posts

Once upon a time, I found some pictures here that someone posted from the Rangers that showed routes that were open or closed for riding. I tried searching here and tried Google, but I am having trouble finding the info that I'm looking for. Could someone help me out?

I want to ride from Otay TT to Corral Canyon to camp in two weeks, and want as much time off pavement as possible and to get as close as I can to the border, but I don't want to go where I'm not supposed to.

You should be able to get a motor vehicle use map from the forest service. Maybe online or in the office.

The MVUM for Coconino can be downloaded to the GPS.

Sounds like a possible route would be taking Otay for all its worth, and jumping out on the 94 briefly by Barrett Junction - back in / up and around Tecate Peak back into Tecate along border until Campo the head up S1 into Corral, think that's going to maximize your time on dirt

Screen shot is a loop I've done a few times minus the S1 into Corral
