2011 KTM 990 *Withdrawn from sale*

Recommended Posts

2011 KTM 990 33,900ish miles

I’m going to hate myself later, but it’s time to sell my Big Bike. The bike’s in excellent riding condition- it’s seen plenty of BDRs, trails and dirt roads, ridden cross-country last year, and most certainly has been lovingly dropped and crashed, picked up, dusted off and started all over again. It has that well-earned patina of a well-used bike that’s been cared for well. Never any hard road crashes or structural issues, just the expected paint dings and appearance issues.

It’s been kitted out for a 250lb handsome and experienced senior rider, and exceedingly well kept and maintained. Always synthetic oil, (Motorex or Rotella) and never abused.

Bike just received oil/filter change, chain/sprockets, fuel filter and is ready to go anywhere.

And you should.

I also have all (maybe most) of the stock parts if you want them.

Here’s the list:

Dude, I can clearly see there is only 36% tread left on that rear EO7.  If you keep riding it to Starbucks you're going to have to change your ad.

It's like breaking up with your hot girlfriend for a new even hotter girlfriend.  Whether you regret it or not remains to be seen.

Always sad to loose a friend.  Someone is getting an excellent setup for big miles.

Apparently a Single Muffler Exhaust conversion.  That saves a bunch of weight.

More important- it allows the use of the aux tank on the other side.

If I needed to save weight, I'd better start with my belly.

BTW, that's probably the sexiest aux tank ever seen on a Moty-sickle.  I want one.  But I already have 8 gallons positioned high and tight over the cylinders.  To have more would just be greedy.

Good luck with the sale.  This is a drop dead gorgeous specimen of KTM art.

I would consider it, if only it had some high quality photos.  Did you take those pictures with a potato?  😂

I know, I know.

But I can't afford to keep a bike I ride less than 2x a year. I'm not in that tax bracket.

WOW

Didn't see this one coming :heh:

Great bike, definitely has a lot of adventurous miles under the hood for the next owner.

It treated you well and kept you safe, I'd be surprised if you still have it next week

Sad to let one go, sooooooo what are you secretly building up.....?

Nothing.

But it ain’t priced cheap and reflects my lack of dedication to selling it.

I think you should throw in a Mrs. Bowers' baked good item.  Sure to sell.

The License plate number is different in a few of the pictures; Is this another 990 at a special price?
