Need local fork seals!

Recommended Posts

My son and I started working on his bike doing the fork seals, the shop sent us the wrong seals and we have everything apart.  Does anyone know of a local place that may carry seals?  We've called Vey's, MotoWorld, a couple other joints but nobody has parts in stock.

Any other ideas?  Some of the small places are closed on Mondays too.

Sure! Call George at Suspension 101- he may have them in stock. Text me if you need his number.

I thought about that.  It looks like my son found a place that has them.  Had to get creative, seals fit a lot of bikes so we found out what model Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki used same size seals.

Cycle Gear carries K&L seals on their shelves.  Good to know

K&L seals are not good. You want oem NOK or SKF for long lasting seals.

I likely have them in stock and am happy to give advise as well.

K&L isn’t great but if needed they have them.  We got OEM but you were my next call otherwise.

Ya I tried K&L or is it K&S, yes K&S some years ago and had to re-seal several bikes, on me because they did not last.

Lots of seal tidbits make a difference. Yamaha seals for instance the seals off the older Yamaha's last longer than their newer seals. They are going after reduced friction.

Glad you got it sorted, and if ever in need I am here to serve.
