Monsoon Event possible for Desert

Recommended Posts

NOAA Forecast Sunday/Monday

Greater changes are forthcoming Sunday and Labor Day when the upper
high lifts north, opening the door for monsoonal moisture to return
to SoCal. Early moisture advection forecasts show 1.75" to 2.00" of
Precipitable Water moving into the lower deserts Monday. Both the
GEFS and EPS ensembles show QPF over far southern California, with
the best chance for showers and thunderstorms over the mountains and
deserts.

I will be Watching as this event unfolds -  Mark,,  Advise Please

If this comes together, I might drive out in the truck on Monday and do some storm chasing.

It poured on me riding back from Colorado yesterday, about two miles from Jacumba/Hot Springs exit heading west.  Was really nice after riding through AZ and almost succumbing to heat exhaustion.

Posting a ride in Halifax mañana if anyone wants to play in the rain....

Seems like we are in the path for the remnants of Dorian - they are shutting the venue down tomorrow for 24 hours mid installation

Keep asking anyone if there's any dirt bikes to be found -
