ADV Bum 205 Posted August 8, 2019 Would there be any interest into making this an over night ride? Easy big bike route out to Oak Grove Campground and try out camping gear. We could hit Palomar for some trails. We could stop on the way out and maybe on the way back in.
Covered in Dust 162 Posted August 8, 2019 I’m probably going to ride up for a burger on opening day around lunch time. Leaving from Escondido area. CiD
KTMrad 508 Posted August 9, 2019 I'm at least in for the day ride in the sidecar rig, and add Palomar Divide to it. I can run sweep, since I'm sure we'll be the slowest. Maybe do the overnighter if there are some takers.
dirt dame 559 Posted August 9, 2019 I'd be up for some day time miles.

Zubb 1061 Posted August 12, 2019 I'll probably work out a route for Sat morning 9:30 start with lunch at the Hideout. Big Bike, pavement only for anyone wanting to join.
BSon2or4 28 Posted August 13, 2019 I just rode past there on Sunday for my clutch break-in ride... Fresh Rekluse, non-auto. From the number of bikes out front it looked like it was already open, but I'm game for a Grand Opening ride, should be fun.

From Ramona: 1) Pavement - 78/79/Mesa Grande/Hideout Dirt: 2) Easiest way is up 78 to Magnolia (left - pavement turning to major dirt road) to Black Mountain Rd. (left at bridge on major dirt road) to Mesa Grande (left - pavement) to Hideout. 3) Slightly more challenging route is 7th St. to Haverford (right) which turns into Pamu Rd., take Pamu down into the Pamu Valley, pavement transitions to major dirt road, right on Santa Ysabel TT, right at Y to stay on Santa Ysabel TT, left at Black Mountain Rd. over to Mesa Grande/Hideout.....
cmbthumper 160 Posted August 15, 2019 #3 is the most fun and mix of street and dirt. Don't have one but could be done easily on a 1190 size bike.

Zubb 1061 Posted September 10, 2019 Do you have an estimated time that route 2 would take to get there? I'm on Anakee 3's so traction wise, I won't be heavy on the throttle either. I will need to keep it as close to a half day as I can so would want to arrive for lunch by noon at the latest. 11 would be better.
Covered in Dust 162 Posted September 10, 2019 Heading up for a burger tomorrow. Escondido to Valley Center, Nate Harrison across Palomar to Hideout. Should be there about noon. CiD
