Another epic ride with Kug and Van. Van picked up Kug and me last Saturday morning and we hit the road. More details to follow when we have a chance to decompress.

A couple of teaser pics.

Looks like more of those tracks heading to Denio and Fields. Lousy photos as usual. Glad you all made it back with a smile on your face.

That was a great ride also. Funny that we both took pictures looking back in almost the same spot.

We drove up to Nevada City to meet up with Jaun Browne  "Blancolirio " of You Tube Fame .We got a tour of the  Gold History of Nevada City Ca . Then on Sunday he led us on some single track of the area . We spent all day and into the evening visiting Historic sites and watering holes .

My memory is that we were climbing from the lower Soldier Meadow / Gerlock and heading north in CID's photo.

Hey Ken, those are some nice photos.  Has Chris been mentoring you?

Pretty luxurious to have that day of exploration with Juan ( and no luggage ).

My only contribution to this Travel discussion is a picture of a Black Bear cub in Yellowstone.

Juan showed us some nice single track on Sunday.

Then on Monday we hit the road.

We put a Kug sticker here a few years ago. They are highly collectable so someone must have stole it.

We rode through this snow for awhile but finally the road disappeared and we had to turn around and find another trail. We found a mountain bike trail that we followed for awhile but it had a big wash out so we turned around again. We finally put a few trails together and made it to the bottom of the mountain.

We decided to take a little short cut that cut out some road. It turned out to be a little off the beaten path.

Made it to Fields Oregon, the Kug was already there.

If you like big vistas Northern Nevada is the place to be.

I borrowed this 5 gallon tank from Bowers. Almost didn't take it.

My 5 gallons of gas was needed when we got to Denio and they had no gas. Even though Kug had called and they said they had plenty. We pushed on to Gerlach and I gave Kug gas then Van gave Kug gas and we all limped into Gerlach with low fuel lights on. I had 3/10ths of a a gallon left, Van had 3/10ths of a gallon and Kug had 2 tenths. If I'd have gone with my 4 gallon tank we would have run out. Thanks Paul!

Always love seeing wild horses.

Van's tail light left his bike on Sunday during our single track riding with Juan. So he strapped it onto his backpack and was good to go the whole week.

It was another great ride. Already planning the next.

Covered in Smiles.
