Bagstr 287 Posted June 14, 2019 With Summer the mind turns to planning vs riding so much; at least that is my mode. With that in mind, I thought to look at motorcycle weights and how they impact where I might use all these motos. These weights are from Total Motorcycle.com which are with no fuel. Super Adventure R 1290 470 pounds Super Adventure R 1090 456 Adventure 790R 416 Enduro 690R 322 EXC 500 240 Honda CBX 500 402 I don't plan on giving up on the 450 platform but wonder if a second light road bike would be entertaining for exploring remote highway stuff. There is always the problem of getting to the remote start point. My freeway days are finished, never to be repeated.
Oracle 195 Posted June 14, 2019 I bet you could get that 790r in the sub 400 range pretty easy. I sure do like it and hope that it pans out to be the kinda bike it's meant to be.

dirt dame 554 Posted July 5, 2019 I own a light road bike. It's an MV Agusta, and it weighs 370 dry and makes about 140 hp. I love going on the back roads and two lane highways around the county.
