simicrintz 177 Posted June 3, 2019 I still have an '82 185S; wish I still had a 110. Ya gotta admit that those things were fun. Remember trying to get up Comp on those?
paulmbowers 236 Posted June 3, 2019 That was a badass bored and stroked 165 with a big carb. Kept the autoclutch to laugh at those that borrowed the bike- it’d loop on the 1-2 shift. Getting up comp was easy. I could do 3rd gear wheelies down comp at night while impaired. Couldn’t see where I was going, but that was not important.
simicrintz 177 Posted June 3, 2019 Very cool; I played around a bit with mine but was pretty limited to cam, carb and pipe-never got to that level! The good ole days; it's a wonder we lived through them!
Bagstr 287 Posted June 3, 2019 A sign of how far Evolution can go. I.E. not the man I know. 😎
Covered in Dust 162 Posted June 3, 2019 White shoes? Headlight cover is a sign of things to come. I’ll bet we probably crossed paths in those days.
amgems 79 Posted June 3, 2019 The brown one was a friends trike. Yamaha 175 engine. Talk about bad ass. The red one was only a 90, but it had chrome forks. Nice hair, huh?

Ken S 164 Posted June 4, 2019 Wish I had pictures from back when I was racing 250’s in D38 in the 80’s. Built some scary fast 84 and 86 big bore 500cc race bikes. Had a couple 185s highly modified that beat stock 250 and a lot of buggies up the hill.
simicrintz 177 Posted June 4, 2019 The 200X was the 3 wheeler that I always wanted, Mark. I had one of the '82 250R's and hated it (never was a 2 stroke guy) and loved the 200X when it came out. I had moved onto 2 wheels by then and never did buy another 3 wheeler after '82.
tntmo 887 Posted June 4, 2019 We had a lot of ATC's on the farm, started with a Honda 90, then a 110, 185S, Big Red....all supposedly for "farm use" but we rarely hauled hay bales or checked the crops or livestock with them. Then a Yamaha Tri-Z showed up that had been modified for racing and was pretty abused, but still darn fast. There was no way to even try to claim that was for farm use. My dad probably still wrote it off on the taxes. Had a blast in the winter towing truck inner tubes and seeing who was crazy enough to try to hold on.
