Any Virtual Network Computing (VNC) gurus out there??

I know, I know; I never make any group rides and I only ask off topic questions!  But if I get this all figured out one day I will have the time to ride again!!

Paying gig for someone who gets this (it obviously is not me!).  I monitor and control systems remotely and use VNC Viewer (https://www.realvnc.com/en/) to do so.  Business buy out a year ago (not amicable) and accounts and passwords were not provided me.  I still have system access and control (but so does ex business partner so he can watch and control what is happening-he set it up).  Looking to set up new account and Real VNC only has online support (if you want to call it that!) and I am not succeeding. 

Trying to be proactive before the system goes dark (may have a yearly sign up or something which will expire soon if so and I will be left dead in the water).  

If any of you have experience in this and can help I would really appreciate it.  Have laptop, will travel!
