Bagstr 287 Posted April 29, 2019 Boys having Fun in the south canyons. The Team made quick work of Diablo and Fish up to Pinyon Drop. Steady Pace and a good deal of skill on display. Quite a Team on the Trails. Many amazing feats, top on the list a front wheel over the head of our lead acrobat 3/4s of the way Up one particularly steep hill. And he did save it and finish to the top. Some events are too fast for the camera, but will live forever in memory. The team made quick work of the the Trail because there was a Party back at the trucks. Happy Birthday SCM. Thanks for the effort gentlemen. The Governor. Made a heroic effort to govern the energy of the men, alas I was an utter failure. The energy prevailed. Film to follow. Have at it guys. P.S. The temperature at 1:15 when we departed was 72F; breezy all day. In Hapaha Flats there is an ancient graphic installed by the migrating eur-asians as they migrated south from what would become Alaska. My interpretation is, "This is one LONG hike. Lots of history in the desert.

Bagstr 287 Posted April 30, 2019 KC, We went Down Diablo. The trucks have dug out 5 or six big moguls near the top making it tough going for the bikes. Ranger Don told me it was just a recommendation to avoid traveling up while we watch several rolling up. The trucks seem to moving both ways. The lower sections are standard going, sand and rock. We staged our photos to make it look like we are tough guys. Bagstr

As long as the dirt bike traffic keeps flowing smoothly then no bottlenecks happen😉

Yeah, was raining and windy here in Ramona around 11am yesterday, which was the nail in the coffin. Decided to listen to my inner voice and stay put.

paulmbowers 236 Posted April 30, 2019 Let the record show I was not part of this pileup. They tried to get me to join their "ride down Diablo backwards" shenanigans, but I was having no part of it.
