KTMrad 508 Posted February 25, 2019 Please post your photos and write ups here....thanks. A decent turnout, around 85 riders. Desert conditions were epic. Even had snow on some of the trails. Thanks to all the participants and special thanks to our volunteer crew !
tntmo 887 Posted February 25, 2019 Another great year out there, conditions were awesome. More snow than I have seen in the desert. The Friday night tacos were great and Saturday night dinner was the best yet.

dstss 27 Posted February 26, 2019 Got video through a lot of the snow. Somehow turned off my camera just before Heartattack, but here is snippet of the rest. Fantastic ride. https://youtu.be/S1qWVJs0yow
Wierdrider 187 Posted February 26, 2019 That was an excellent experience, I’m just glad I wasn’t the last sweep rider! The ride was fantastic, and the comradery was epic. Props to Mike for all his hard work, plus the awesome gifts that SDAR and all the vendors donated. There were some great giveaways 👍👍 The food was really good both days. Here’s a few of my photos. By the way, 97XR400r went back and pulled these guys out who were out there unprepared with a baby! That was awesome John 👍👍97XR400r, John, took these next several photos up to the giveawaysThere’s a few

97xr400r 122 Posted February 26, 2019 Big thank you to everyone who came out to ride and help out. Great job everyone 👍 Unusual snow conditions at the higher elevations made this even more enjoyable.
Rancidvandall 7 Posted February 26, 2019 Had a blast riding the Desert Dash two up on my new KTM 1090 Twin. We laid it down a few times in the sand and snow/mud at the end, but generally came out smelling like a rose considering the mountain conditions. My GF Trinaise WILL ride with me again even though I scared the ---- out of her more that once. The dinner was awesome! The riders and staff were all very nice and we left looking forward to another ride with SDAR! Randall and Trinaise 2019_SDAR_Desert_Dash_Large.mp4
ADV Bum 205 Posted February 27, 2019 Sorry for delay. I got home with not Internet. New lines being installed due to development across the street. Huge thanks to all our volunteers. Sweep teams, Support Vehicles and camp volunteers did a great job. Pre registration was really light, probably due to weather concerns, but lots of walk ins. Conditions turned out to be FANTASTIC! Food was amazing. Our sponsors gave us great support providing us with nice raffle prizes. Escondido BMW, Moto Forza, San Diego BMW, Veys Powersports, Motoworld of El Cajon, GP motorcycles, Temecula Motorsports, Rocky Mountain ATV, Cycle Gear, Escondido Cycle Center and Top Value Tire. People who decided not to show really did miss out. Everyone I talked to said the conditions made for the best riding they had done in the desert ever. They experienced light snow to amazing sand conditions. I myself was very jealous as I was driving my truck down fish creek. Thank you to all my volunteers and to all who participated. The businesses I visited commented that it must of been Dualsport day. They commented on how great the Dualsport people are I really hope to see everyone next year as we plan to dial it up and make more improvements. Thanks again.
MikkiMoto 4 Posted February 27, 2019 This was my first DS ride using a GPS. I immediately got lost (operator error) & ended up in a really fun wash that popped me out at Diablo Drop Off. From there I knew where I was & got my GPS bearings. Overheard one of the guys call my Husky 501 a “white KTM” haha whatever dude. Riding conditions have been epic this year - throw in some snow yeehaw! Dinner was excellent. One of the best catered meals I’ve ever had. Sponsors donated awesome swag. Found a Moose fender tool bag in a wash right before Fish creek & turned in to SDAR peeps ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star event
ADV Bum 205 Posted February 27, 2019 Thanks Mikki and welcome to the group. I did hear from many that this might of been their best weekend riding in the desert. As Mikki stated, he turned in a fender bag with tools. If this is belongs to you then please message me.

Cosmo 10 Posted March 3, 2019 Good times everyone! Conditions were definitely epic! I came around a turn and found this Weird guy looking for mini hieroglyphics on the wash wall. Snow in the desert is always a rare treat!
McCTravis 6 Posted March 4, 2019 Had a great time at my first desert dash, was my 1st time riding in the snow, it was epic. Met some new moto buddies. Great two days of riding Anza Borrego and Ocotillio Wells. My buddy Skidplate won the camera at the raffle, came up on someone getting life flighted out of shell reef. Skiplates bike broke on Sunday, he limped it back to camp. Overall great trip.
