Palomar Divide This Weekend

Recommended Posts

Hit me up if you are interested in doing the Palomar Divide this weekend.

Most of it is a slower more technical trail but there are some faster sections.

I was thinking we could meet up at the Park-N-Ride at Hwy 76 and the 15. Then head up Hwy 76 to Hwy 79, do the trail loop, and come back the way we came.

I have Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday off, so any of those days work for me. Lets start as early as possible to beat the heat !

If you’re on for Sunday I’ll add your section to my loop. Anytime after 05:00 A.M. is a good start time for me.

Chasing this thread all over the place. :D

Could use a change of scenery.

Can you nail it down for sunday early am?

Theres room in my pick up for another bike if we get this together.

Curious about Slaugos route.

Sorry, I guess I posted in the wrong place and then I moved but wasn't sure if I should delete the original. Still getting used to this forum stuff.

Sunday sounds good to me. I'll leave it up to the group to pick a time and location to meet up. It will be refreshing to not have the added thrill of tackling a long trail solo and hoping for the best.

Sunday sounds good to me. You guys are the pros at putting these together. Im just a Noob. You tell me when and where to meet up and Ill be there.

Usually, the original poster comes up with the when and where.  Just makes it easier.  Then, if others want to join in along the route they can.

If Sunday, I can probably make it.

Maybe for those coming from the south, cut through Ramona to Orosco and Black Mountain TT's, then Mesa Grande Road to the 76?

7am is early for me, I start work at 7am all week, so I like to sleep in later on weekends.

If it was 9am, I'd be able to make it out.

I'd be riding out, so I'd have to get up even earlier....so, I'll just do my own ride.

I got lost in the replies. Was there a unanimous decision on time and location for the meetup? Ive seen a few variations.

If I don't hear back I guess Ill go to The Roundup Grill at 7, the Hideout at 8, and the trail head at 9. Im guessing I'll bump into someone along the way.

I'll wait for you guys at the trail head to Palomar Divide on a white XR starting around 8:20.  After up and over Palomar, I plan on slabbing it from Aguanga to Anza for lunch at La Cocina Mexican Restaurant.  From there I want to loop up to Thomas Mtn and return through Anza.  If anyone wants to join me for lunch and/or ride you are welcome.

Question.. .why don't y'all start a new thread in Ride Reports section after u do a ride ?

After the ride is done, it's no longer an Upcoming Ride.

Is that concept too difficult to grasp ?

Laziness on my part, SORRY!

By the way, I saw a couple of Coyotes outstanding in their field, and the the three of us got a glimpse of an eagle with a hair doo like mine on Tomas Mountain ?
