The threaded steel tubes that are in turn signal lights keep stripping from the plastic housings. I've tried different types of signals lights with different types of tube (fully threaded and press-fit) and they All. Come. Loose.

I'm not using the stock lights (you know, the ones on the KLR 650 that stick out almost as far as the handle bars) so they won't break every time it takes a dirt nap or the little one runs by and side-swipes it on his way out of the garage.

Are there any turn signals with steel/alum housings that won't strip? Epoxy isn't working for very long. The front ones sometimes come loose just from riding. /sigh/

I might do flushmounts on the front but I won't on the back. Used to run them on the back on my sport bikes but the LEOs kept givng me crap about it. I made some cool brackets to tuck them up under the luggage rack so I'm not worried about the back ones breaking off, just vibrating loose. :)
