Mikey777 44 Posted August 10, 2015 I was fortunate to make it to MotoGP @ Indy. I've never been to a MotoGP race before and this is just one of those things I wanted to see in person during my lifetime. Indy is a fantastic, walking city. They shut down the main drag downtown leaving it open for only motorcycles during MotoGP weekend. The evenings are a spectacle of humanity and bikes. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is something to behold in and of itself. It may not be the best motorcycle track, but its racing history is bar none. I took a ton of pictures...Here are a few of my best. Downtown Indy @ Night Red Bull stunt show Ducati Island Red Bull KTM pits (MotoGP 3 Class) My GF at the YAMALUBE Pits (MotoGP 2 Class)...I thought it was funny how the logos said "Yes", "Yamaha Extended" and "ALUBE". Don't tell her I posted that! My racing pics...
wildwood 11 Posted August 11, 2015 That looks like a good time. I watched the race Sunday morning on FS1. Good race, and is Marc Marquez on a tear or what in the US. That crash of #22 looks like a closer call in the still shots that on TV. Glad he didn't get roll up by the bike right behind him. Very Cool, thanks for sharing. skeelo221 0 Posted August 11, 2015 Very cool! I'm a huge MotoGP fan myself. Been to Valencia in 2005, 6x to Laguna Seca, and 2x to Austin. Always a fun atmosphere but I'm super bummed Laguna is no longer. I download all the races (BT Sport British coverage is what I download since their coverage is great). Can't say I've watched Fox in many years so not sure how bad they still are? If anyone is interested to watch any of the upcoming races let me know
vxsams 0 Posted August 11, 2015 I'm jealous! I was planning a trip to Indy but everyone flaked. I've been to MotoGP in Laguna Seca a few times. Hopefully I'll go next year.
Mikey777 44 Posted August 11, 2015 It would be great to see MotoGP back at Laguna Seca, but I think Monterey has had enough of it. Not necessarily the crowd they want. Definitely going to WSBK up there next year.
TrophyHunter 15 Posted August 12, 2015 My son and his wife went to Austin and like the Winternationals in Pomona, he said you can't describe it.

Definitely going to WSBK up there next year. I'm planning on it. I'd like to do a track day there. I want to drop down the corkscrew.
