Make your Smartphone a fully functional Dual sport GPS

My biggest two worries about using my iPhone 6+ as a GPS would be biffing it in a crash and vibration rattling it to death.

Was riding this weekend with my Android/Samsung Galaxy S4 phone in a RAM mount and got an error code about my phone "shaking". Now I am having intermittent problems with it finding my SIM card. Time for a new phone, so I might just use the old one for the GPS functions.

Interesting - i've put close to 1000 miles on my 500 EXC with my Galaxy S3 in a RAM mount - never got 1 error code. I have the phone in an Otterbox with a glass protective cover over the screen.

Also, if you have an Otterbox cover for your phone and the cover breaks/rips/fails in ANY way they come with a lifetime warranty. Just go to Otterbox.com to follow the steps to get a brand new replacement. I've done it before - it's legit. They are a GREAT company.

I'd pull the sim card out and try cleaning the contacts with an eraser. Just re-seating it might help.
