Dualsport Ride May 17th for Sadie...Hideout Bartender

Recommended Posts

As mentioned in Open Discussion... sweet Sadie from the Hideout Saloon was murdered along with her mother by an ex bf.

Memorial on May 17th.

We're planning a dualsport ride out of Ramona....route will depend on time and details.

If you want to pay respects to this sweet girl...please keep the date open

See details below.

OK...there will be a Memorial for Sadie and her Mom at 1:00pm on May 17th.

Location: Ranch of RJ and Kat Stewart

29343 Chihuahua Valley Red.

Warner Springs

Let's do a dual sport ride from Ramona in the morning to the Hideout. Then ride with the group from the Hideout to Sunshine Summit....then to Memorial at 1pm....I will go to the memorial.

Meet at Packards in Ramona 8am Sunday May 17th...leave at 8:30 am.

Typical route on dirt from Ramona to Mesa Grande...then pavement to the Hideout...from there a ride will take pavement to Sunshine Summit to meet the family...then over to the memorial at the Stewart Ranch.

Possibly more dirt after the Memorial.

Here is what I plan on doing...meet at Packards same time as posted.

Ride dirt to Mesa Grande then pavement to the Hideout.

I really want to ride with the Hideout Crowd so will do pavement up to Sunshine Summit where they are meeting the family.

Then over to the Memorial.

After the Memorial...possibly ride more dirt, either An a to Warner Springs or Palomar Divide.

Is this ride OK for a sort of Noobie?

What type of bike and what tires you running ?

Its going to be muddy..so non-street tires highly recommended.

Well...plans have changed for me...I still plan on being at Packards but I may have to do all pavement...just found a gas leak on 1 bike and the other bike has street tires on it don't want to ride mud with street tires.

There still may be some people there to lead the dirt sections.

Thanks Ken, I've been a little anxious about this ride.

No worries. This road is very well graded and since it's all decomposed granite, is probably dry by now.

Erik (Vanjoosten) and I are riding local stuff today. We'll try to stop by at Packards at 0830 hours to say hi to everyone.

Yeah...we had a nice ride and what a touching memorial for Sadie and her mom Felice...great support by the riding community...guessing 250-300 bikes.

Will post a report and photos later.
