TdubLady 1 Posted April 20, 2014 There will be deconstruction/construction going on at my house and I'd prefer not to witness the carnage. I have some errands to run first thing, but then I'd like to ride out Ramona/Julian way. Any of you tour guides available? Route: https://maps.google....,6,8,9&t=m&z=10 Leaving from 7/11 at Lake Jennings/Old hwy 80 at 10:00am Won't be quick-I average 55mph Lunch in Julian. Please chime in with rendezvous points to meet up with others.(I'll need fuel in Ramona)
tntmo 1011 Posted April 20, 2014 Ramona to Black Canyon Road to Mesa Grande. From there to Santa Ysabel and up to Julian. From Julian, back out to Pine Hills/Boulder Creek and onto Viejas Grade Road into Alpine. What time? I just got my supermoto wheels back on so I'm ready. ThumperBob 21 Posted April 20, 2014 TdubLady, Take a look at this route. I forgot to take off at Pine Creek Rd. I changed "D to "F. This is a very easy single lane road. Very nice ride. Either way, I'll see you all in the morning. https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Lake+Jennings+Park+Rd,+Lakeside,+CA&daddr=32.9417441,-116.8549898+to:Ramona,+CA+to:Pine+Creek+Rd+to:32.8923903,-116.4920057+to:Pine+Creek+Rd+to:Descanso,+CA+to:32.8643283,-116.6620796+to:Alpine,+CA+to:32.8373872,-116.7969923+to:32.8557603,-116.8378251+to:Lake+Jennings+Park+Road,+Lakeside,+CA&hl=en&ll=32.775151,-116.496964&spn=0.387388,0.485458&sll=32.831135,-116.519623&sspn=0.048393,0.060682&geocode=Fe9X9QEdP1gI-SnfpOATrFjZgDFd1orUqpiXoQ%3BFbCm9gEdM-8I-SmPeJtCJeHbgDF3AYHhlVi9bQ%3BFdAr-AEdaZAI-Skf1Jl5ZOjbgDEZwrPQw2e9WA%3BFXA09gEdQOcO-Q%3BFebl9QEdG3kO-SmJmby1lH7ZgDEfIGm-lJ8JCQ%3BFegR9QEdnccN-Q%3BFV1L9QEdVJUM-SlZmJpDTmPZgDFtttQs8PuYZw%3BFUh49QEdweAL-SnvYYj5rmPZgDGqYdiKubJCsg%3BFewF9QEdNUkK-SlTIbe872DZgDGxI8FCaCsT7g%3BFQsP9QEdwNEJ-Sl7oUvugWDZgDE8csaiWcbu7w%3BFdBW9QEdPzIJ-Sk9g24XmV_ZgDH44prdSS1jjQ%3BFe9X9QEdP1gI-SnfpOATrFjZgDFd1orUqpiX
tntmo 1011 Posted April 20, 2014 Too much pavement for me. I'll meet up at the same time and join for a bit, but will be splitting off and riding the dirt.

I'd love to add in a dirt detour, if that's a possibility. I could use the practice if there's something easy enough?
ThumperBob 21 Posted April 20, 2014 Descanso to Viejas is about 6 miles of well groomed dirt road. Viejas Grade.
TdubLady 1 Posted April 20, 2014 Descanso to Viejas is about 6 miles of well groomed dirt road. Viejas Grade. There we go. Sounds good to me.
tntmo 1011 Posted April 20, 2014 It's ok, I just prefer a bit more dirt/street ratio. All the roads I posted are doable on almost any bike, they are just gravel roads. Two different options this way, good for all.
TdubLady 1 Posted April 20, 2014 Let's mix it all up. We can decide as we go, can't we? I posted a general route so people could join along the way, if they wanted. Up to Ramona, we're set. You had mentioned Viejas Grade, so that's in. And maybe some go dirt and some go pavement and we meet in Julian for lunch? I'm sure we can figure it out as we go. Let's just meet n ride!! Woo-hoo! ThumperBob 21 Posted April 20, 2014 It really does not matter to me, as long as we all take it easy and stay safe. There are a lot of options.
TrophyHunter 15 Posted April 20, 2014 Yup - put heads together at the launch point is fine with me. General direction and route good. See ya at 10.
