I don't know how VW has been eating up those other car companies, in terms of whether they do it as a corporation or if the majority shareholder is swinging it himself (as Pierer is here). Looks like a good plan, and as he said, seems to have worked well for VW.

I'll be happy to see what they come up with, frankly I wasn't too impressed with BMW's direction over the Husky line.

Yeah, I'd really like to see Husky stay alive and do well....we need these manufacturers to keep it competitive and so we have a choice of different motorcycles to buy. I'd love to see Husky get stronger in the market.

Here is from an interview (translated) with New Engine and Stefan Perier:

"We will work with Husqvarna go back to its origins. We will therefore soon be back in motocross and then in supermoto, both sports which Husqvarna previously dominant was present. within the next year will make appropriate motorcycle developed with the specifications and character as at Husqvarna hear."

I did read that the KTM boss says he wants Husky to get back into MX and Supermoto racing. KTM has successfully made the transition into American MX and SX, I wonder if and when a Husky team might come over??

Pierer says Husky and Husaberg will likely share engines as they both have Swedish roots and Huskys will not be sold in KTM dealers. The 650's will be sold for a while but the Nuda is done.
