I purchased a 60 qt igloo cube cooler, foam, and FedEx shipping... $30 for cooler, 94 lbs $74... FedEx ground... Should be there by Wednesday.

The motor already had the hot Cam kit, edlebrock carb, dynajet stage one...

I coordinated to drop off my stuff to Suspenders tomorrow...

I choose to re-grease the steering head and rear swing arm while everything was torn apart...

Top tip: of you drop your rear cushion lever it will rain needle bearings everywhere...

After you put grease in those bearings they won't rain out on you again.

Pretty sad that the Manufacturers put so little grease in the bearings.

They finally got my motor broken down, inspected, and invoiced...$1600 with Big Bore kit... Shipped...

The price difference between Stock and Big bore was marginal...

Don't hate me...

Any updates? What was the cause of the motor failure? Did you get your suspension done? Have you been out riding?

Any updates? What was the cause of the motor failure? Did you get your suspension done? Have you been out riding?

Motor has been with Sisneros Motosports since Jul 19th. It took them about a week to get to tear it down. When they called to discuss the rebuild I was busy processing a Kid into the Brig... So I didn't think to ask them about the cause. When I called back a week later I was told they were awaiting a few parts and he would ask Eddie about the failure means and note it in the record. I haven't had a chance to call them this week. I still think it was some complications of oil starvation and high rpm.

As far as the suspension... I had Suspenders do it up. The Front Forks and Rear shock are installed. I re-packed the steering head and rear swing arm bearings. Cleaned the oil screen...

That's about it...

I haven't been street riding on the weekend in an effort to offset this $1900 (engine and suspension)cost... So far.

Motor shipped on the 15th... Should be here by Monday... I'll plan the rebuild next week and hopefully ready to fire it up on Saturday...

Motor is in and running smooth.

Topped off the oil and anitfreeze.

I had a few oil drips after a quick 2-3 mile ride.

I figure it may take a few cycles for the seals to get seated.

If all looks good, I will be looking to head out Sunday....

Once you get a ride on it, I'd like to hear your impressions on the new motor vs the stock one.

where is the oil dripping from?

It was hard to tell last night.. But looked to be in the area of the lower oil line attach point, countershaft seal, gear shift lever, & the sensor just in front of the shift lever.

It was late when I got done. I'll clean it up and get a good op check. There was a very small puddle of fresh oil under that area this morning.
