taking a break

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Got some kinda lousy news a couple weeks ago. I went in for a colonoscopy and they found a mass in my colon and have confirmed its cancer. So far the prognosis for a full recovery is good. Its isolated in my colon, hasn't spread anywhere else. They are going to nuke it with a laser everyday for 5 weeks then go in and cut it out. Yeah, there will be some chemo but not alot of it so side effects should be minimal and recovery should be basic. I'm still planning on Coon Cabin for Labor day although I may ride slow and fall down alot. Since I ride slow and fall down alot now that shouldnt be that big of a deal but at least I'll have an excuse.

My wife set up a facebook page to post updates for the people who give a rip so if you want you can check it out HERE. I'm not a big facebook guy so I dont have a clue what you have to do to see the page. If you dont either then ask the teenage kid next door other wise I'll hopefully fill you in on the details around a campfire next fall!

Anyway, if you know me at all then you know I'm at peace with all of this and am good to go. Thanks in advance for your prayers!

Like it told you Saturday Tracy, good riding buddies are hard to find. So get this thing cut out and heal up fast. I don't

think anyone else will ever make me a blue cheese martini in the Dez. We have lots of riding still to do and Utah is coming

up again in he fall.

Best of luck Tracy.

My last colonoscopy was three years ago. No fun...but this is why we put up with them. Gotta chatch it in time. Looking forward to riding with you again soon.

I am so sorry to hear this, but I am glad that it seems like you will get through all of it. I am expecting jalapeno poppers at coon cabin, so there is no choice but for you to be there, my friend.

You are a great friend to many people, we really care about you and send you thoughts for a speedy recovery from all this.
