AMA announces additional seminars for 2012 AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The AMA is pleased to announce additional seminar offerings at the 2012 AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference. The conference will take place July 26-29 in Carson City, Nev.

In keeping with the conference theme of "Ride Well," the seminar lineup includes topics that promote safety, health, awareness and preparation.

"We are pleased to announce more additions to an already exciting seminar lineup at the AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference," said AMA Marketing Manager Tigra Tsujikawa. "These seminars will offer something for riders of every type and skill level. The expertise of our speakers is second-to-none, resulting in a slate of offerings that is as diverse as it is informative."

The latest additions include:

* Motorcycle Matchmaker. Offered by veteran motorcycle instructor Christine Firehock.

* Why Motorcycle Riding is Good for Your Health. Presented by psychotherapist Jana Mulvaney.

* The Health Benefits of Off-Road Riding. Jo-Anne Farquhar, director of communications and public affairs for Canada's Motorcycle & Moped Industry Council (MMIC), and Kellee Irwin, chairwoman of the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada and vice president, Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.

* Wherever the Road Takes You. With Athena "Chickie" Ransom, owner of Vagabond Cycles.

* Riding Past Your Limitations. Presented by Holly Ralph, a director of the Canadian Motorcycle Association and the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group.

* Motorcycle Helmet Seminar. Conducted by Randy Northrup of Schuberth North America.

Through May 15, AMA members can realize significant savings by taking advantage of the $125 discounted registration fee to attend the conference. After that date, the fee for AMA members increases to $175. Non-members can register for $235.
