Tell the AMA in a video and you could win a trip to Washington, DC!

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is hosting a video contest and wants to hear from you on why 'Kids Just Want to Ride!'

The 'Kids Just Want to Ride!' video contest is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Create your video. Eligible videos must be no longer than 30 seconds, contain at least one young rider 12 years old or younger, and include the following script, either verbally or graphically: "My name is [insert name]. I promise I will not eat my [motorcycle or ATV, depending on what the child rides]. Kids just want to ride!"

2. Upload your video to YouTube.com and copy your YouTube video's web address.

3. Select the "Go!" bottom at the bottom of this page and paste your YouTube video url in the "Video URL" box. Be sure to submit your video by Sunday, April 24, 2011.

It's that simple! Be creative and have fun!

The grand prize winner will receive a trip for three to Washington, D.C., to be the guest of honor at the AMA Family Capitol Hill Climb on Thursday, May 26. One second-place winner will receive a $500 gift card to BikeBandit.com. One third-place winner will receive a $100 gift card to BikeBandit.com.

The video contest is an effort to get Congress to exempt youth-model motorcycles and ATVs from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008. That's because unless the CPSIA is repealed or modified, it will effectively ban the sale of youth-model motorcycles and ATVs at the end of 2011.

The AMA Family Capitol Hill Climb on Thursday, May 26 is an event focused on promoting and protecting the future of youth riding. Anyone interested in protecting the rights of youth riders is encouraged to participate you do not have to submit a video to attend. For event details, click here.

He does ok, if properly motivated. He still owes me $580 for his VW, he said it will be paid for by the time he gets his license. Put him to work!

Oh yeah, he's too old for this video, just saw that it was for 12 and under.
