Hi All, I'm a newcomer to the San Diego area looking to be a part of the off-road adventure community here in San Diego. I'm been riding for about 10 years in the Northern CA area, especially the Mendocino Forest and the Lake Tahoe areas. Most of my riding has been in forested single track but I'm getting more familiar with the fast sandy trails in the southern part of the state. Currently ride a DR650, which has gotten me around the whole state without fail (slowly but surely) and a 125, for when I really want something to throw around off road. Hello, my name is Jon. I am new to SDAR and dual sport riding, but not new to riding. I live in Ramona and ride a DRZ-400 (plated). Mostly I ride with my 16yo daughter locally, she rides a TTR-250 (plated). If you have any questions or already know me, let me know.

Hey guys and some gals maybe, Just bought a crf250l about two weeks ago and am spazzing out about it. Cant wait to get off road instead of just watching all these youtube videos about it. I wanted to go on the noob ride this weekend but its not going to work out. Ill be at the first one I can make it to though. I have a couple questions: (1) how critical is it that I get a more substantial radiator guard and skid plate on my bike before going on some noob rides? (2) what is the minimum level of recommended protective gear? Of course I have a helmet (and gloves), and am going to soon buy boots and some pants. Looking forward to meeting some of you on the trails. Thanks.

Hello SDAR members. My name is Jim and I live in Spring Valley. I Just bought a 2004 plated KTM 525 exc. I'm Very excited about getting out and exploring San Diego and beyond perhaps. I haven't ridden in years, so I'll need some time to get used to my bitchen bike. I still have my 1982 XL 500 R that I would like to get back on the road. Thanks for letting me into your sanctuary. Hello SDAR. Thanks to the Pres. & ADV Bum for helping me join via computer. I hope to make my membership beneficial to all of us in some small way. My name is Chris (male). I live in North County. I've been riding street bikes for many years. About 5,000-miles per year. I still have a 750 Yamaha. I've been active in clubs with sailing (not government sponsored) and the desert with 4x4's, a buggy, and camping. About 2-months ago, looking to expand my riding, I bought a 2009 KLR650. The previous owner had it decked out with a lot of great accessories. I've added a Corbin Dual Platform seat (that's telling, isn't it!), tank pads, center stand lift handle, and replaced the Kawasaki Soft Side Top Case with a hard case. I'm a retired business owner, married to a wonderful understanding wife, have 2-kids, and a dog. I'd be boring if I wasn't crazy. As I'm learning to handle this dirt bike, I'm sure I'll be giving all of you a good time!
