So @moto_rph and @Porkchop and I met up at the Dunkin in Ramona this morning, @moto_rph has his new KTM Factory upgrade knee, and this was his first time back on the pegs, and going for a dirt ride. He doesn't really do baby steps so we took Pamo, then the turn up to the vista, then on up Black Mountain Truck Trail to the top. Up at the top we met a nice dude on a 950 Super Enduro that had a cook history of ownership and was well modded. We hung out for a bit at the top, then eventually rolled back down the hill . Once we got back to the vista area, we took Forest Route, to Black Canyon, then Mesa Grande, 76, got stuck in some slow car traffic which put us behind a McLaren, so that was nice... It had to look pretty spicy to oncomming cars. An orange McLaren, with 3 farkled KTM's directly behind it. Another thing to mention is Mesa Grande had a weird vibe, there was dead baby pigs scattered across the road. I see 5 on the gopro frames.... Just kind of a weird obstacle to dodge on your way to hit up Mr. Harrison on the way to Palomar, I think. Anyway.... We then had a nice Nate Harrison trot. I should mention as we were coming up Black Mountain we saw a R1200GS, and a KTM 10/1190 ADV (sot sure which xx90), and we did see them again as we were coming up Nate Harrison. *waves* The R1200GS rider had found himself caught between a couple ruts, so the three of is gave him a nice shove and watched him head on to find his friend. After doing Nate Harrison we kicked tires at mothers a bit, some sportbike riders up there. And we headed out via East Grade, 76, Mesa Grande, 79, 78, back in to Ramona. Good ride!
