  1. Zubb, Great to have folks to share a big experience with. Practicing how to “true” the front forks and wheel In the garage is an essential skill for off road riding. As you found out, the issue can ruin your day. Who knows you may find that you like to experiment with fork height and transform the riding experiece. 🤓

Help needed! 2005 ktm 250 smoker

Always start with checking the ground connections. And on a bike with no key, that the Kill switch is clean and the contacts are open. Wiring that has rubbed or pinched can short to ground. Any fuses popped? It is just physics, not magic. You will get it. 😎
  4. A stark beauty out there. I hope the change is working out for you Mimi. Is that the Missouri R. You are showing us?
  5. Yes, That is what the sign said leaving Ocotillo. Figured, well heck I am this far,,, There we’re about ten Sand Bars a couple of inches thick on the way to Border Patrol checkpoint. Also a couple of 1ft steps at the edge of the downstream side of pavement. Cal trans was wrapping up grading. They had pushed a lot of sand off. So. Carrizo and Indian Canyon. The clay was just drying, the sand totally dry. Most everywhere had been wiped clean, most hard pack, some already deep and loose. This was totally in the park, on roads. On what had been roads. 75-89F at 11:00 when I loaded up. Had to get away for a few hours,,,

I graduated from El Cajon HS in 1969. The Southern Culture was a pox on America then and it remains so now.

Let Us Do a Radio Comm Thread

“ all purchased in the last 12 months “ Comments following offered in the best of humor, Firstly, It matters what the quality of the mic and earphones. Second, the antenna for range Third, I have found that it is important to have a face shield down to quiet the wind noise. Examples of Worth Wildness: Six on a twisted, dusty route: #5 gets a flat. Six Immediate calls out “ mechanical”. #6 Rips a Digger and hits hard. Barely conscious calls out “Man Down”. #7 If the conversation is tedious, change your group. 😬
  9. How was the dust? I give you much credit for getting to the line at this time of year. Congratulations

LED Signals: The Cheap and the Quality

Thanks Nick for the thoughtful discussion. Reminds me of the days of a teenage tuner, when cost controlled every decision. One of the luxuries of being old and over the horizon of a working career, is to use the best quality short of bling. Some of my friends love a deal no mater what their resources. We all push the button that works for us. These bikes are a never ending puzzle that demands our attention.

  12. To. Review: Home Screen - Top right is my Screen Name Drop Down - My Attachments Window opens with my total storage usage and Total Allocated Question - My assumption is this limit is for all time and never resets? Also - A member needs to be a supporting person to attach a non- hosted photo. I think to have my mind around this issue.
  13. Thanks for the Stills gents. Someone should put up a warning sign at the bottom of the hill. “The Crew is assembled above”. Nice party sight

  15. UC, I hear you my friend. Have riden the 700. It is a street Bike, with a heigh COG. Have an issue with anything over 300lbs, Street or OR. Thinking of a 690 as A Street Bike. Done street touring, Adventure, and a 690. Unless you love the Interstate, give up on the Adventure mystique.

Chris, The PNW is a big range; How did you go about narrowing a location? Other than knowing you wanted a “ Log Cabin “ with a 3 stall garage. Inquiring Mind

John, You are a true Duel-Sporter.
  18. Based on reports of good results, I took the plunge and had George Spinelli install a pair of his new fork compression valves on my 2016 XCW. Yesterday I met my good friend, Mr. B we will call him in Anza Borrego for 64 miles of varied terrain; deep sand to hard rocks to jet smooth. The Results are in. I experienced significantly reduced noise through the bars and an increased sense of control and therefore confidence. No bottoming, no change in rebound or the balance front to rear I had before installation. Well Done Geoege
