  2. There are way too many distractions while driving these days, (phones, entertainment systems, GPS!), and of course the good old bad decision of driving while drunk! Some of the new driving assist stuff I think is just wrong, (park assist where the car parks itself, backup cameras when people don`t turn around and look also), if you can`t park maybe you should not drive!

  3. I disagree. Rossi may not be the rider he was in his 20s, but that doesn't mean he's lashing out at the young gun Marquez to prove himself. I stopped reading at "gratuitous viloence" as a race was in progress and Marquez had repeatedly drifted wide in turns when Rossi was behind him. The way the two went back and forth tells me Marquez was faster that day but kept dropping back to slow Rossi and allow his teammate Lorenzo to extend his lead. After a close call on a pass Rossi even looked back at Marquez as to give him a warning to stop clowning around. A few turns later, Rossi went slow and wide and Marquez didn't react in time bumping Rossi who responded with an extended knee. Game over, Marquez. Lesson learned from a 9 time champion.

Max Biaggi was 41 when he won his last World Superbike Championship. I think Rossi has a few more years of championship contention in GP.

This is the way I saw it too.

    +1 !!!!

Never liked Marquez or Lorenzo !

I do like Dani Pedrosa, Marquez`s team mate !

  4. Savvy business move for them, but I was turned off by them when I went there twice to look at huskys and was completely ignored both times I went in there even after sitting on bikes and waiting around to be acknowledged. Yes, I went twice, because I thought maybe the first time was a fluke. Same result the second time. I even made eye contact with the dudes hanging around the counter and no one said a word. If I buy a husky it won't be from them. I will take my business where it is wanted even if it means a drive into the OC. 3 bros Ktm and Malcolm smith have both been awesome to work with so far and I haven't even seen the bike yet.

My (not bitter, honest. Lol) $.02.

Wow. sorry you had two bad experiences with these guys. I have bought three bikes from them, and consider the people there as friends. My observation is that they are pretty laid back most of the time. I have been in other stores where sales personel are trained to be so aggressive, that I am insulted by how much they can ignore clues that I give them in our conversation about what I am looking for.

I have always liked Moto Forza too ! They are very laid back. They are not high pressure salesmen. Next time you go in there, approach them and I think you will change your mind.

  5. Thanks! I'm assuming you mean San Luis Rey river bed. Yeah def not legal this day and age, there's prob some endangered species of homeless down there the tree jiggers don't want you disrupt. Anyone riding this coming Monday around mid day??

Back in the mid 70s my friends and I would cut classes at O`side High and go hang out at the river bed, ride and party, (if you know what I mean). Lots of good memories !

  6. The site is working great for me these days and now that I've spent the time to learn how to post pictures properly I'm almost set. Just need to figure out how to post more than one picture at a time from Photobucket. Right now I go back and forth from Photobucket to SDAR site for each pictureand have to post the picture then edit the post each time.

Check out this page on Photo Bucket.

  7. I had two clear white ones crack and a third would not seal at the fuel pump gasket. Then I got the black one and have had no problems. That was all within 6 months of purchase. Each time hey sent me a new one in a box with a return shipment label, no cost to me!. I purchased it from Hall`s Cycles.

  8. The license is cheap and easy to get. Learn the basic rules and you would have to be a complete idiot to get yourself in trouble!

    I am kind of curious!

How many people with radios on this site have a license and how many do not?

    I have mine.

I'd at least like to have a license to show the support and attempt to be "legal".

I've done the same thing, and I think it's a good idea to have the license to theoretically use repeater in case of an emergency, but....

I also believe that the penalty for an unlicensed transmission is less severe (depending on what's said/done) than being licensed and then operating in violation of the FCC rules.

Might be better off without the license and pleading ignorance, than passing the test and flaunting the law. Remember, in an emergency, an unlicensed operator may use the frequencies available...

    Dunno.

Ya... that's why (one of the many reasons) I've not RAN OUT and taken the test just yet.... ph34r.gif

  9. I have had good results with AGM batteries. I still have the original battery in my 2008 Husqvarna TE 510. I am am on the second battery in my 2003 Harley Sportster S. I replaced it about 3 years ago. Also, the Harley lived in Western Massachusetts from 2004 till October of 2007. I have a Battery Tender that I switch back and forth between the two bikes about once a month.
