    ADV Bike collision with cop

Is it just the same name? Someone mentioned it looked like a Triumph and Rocket is a Triumph dealer.
  4. I just felt like posting this pic of my grandson, so I did! Cool reflection effect!
  5. That is cool! Way better than any scooter or moped!

    Local route on cruiser

+1 The Narrows, (S2) out to Ocotillo Wells is fun, then up S22, (Montezuma Valley Road) from Borrego Springs to Ranchita. S79 to S371 to S74 out to Palm Desert is another route. You can also take S74 To Idylwild instead of Palm Desert. Pic is from Idylwild.
  7. I saw the date was the 17th so I haven`t jumped the gun! Is there parking behind the 7/11?
  8. I might join in on this. I would be coming from North county, is there somewhere to park a truck? (Petco parking lot?)

    Prius vs VW TDI

+1, I agree and I am a Toyota MDT certified on hybrids. What is going to be a good hybrid is when they replace the gas engine with a hydrogen fuel cell setup, but they still have to work all the quirks out of that, ( gas stations being one of the main problems I would think). They really don`t get that great on the fuel mileage even if you know how to drive them for mileage ! I also think they would be terrible as a tow vehicle. As far as working on them, you have to be careful around anything in the hybrid system. You are supposed to wear lineman`s gloves working on anything near the hybrid components. Cables and connectors are orange. High voltage is a killer!. Tow truck drivers have to be certified. Regardless of price I don`t think batteries are a good technology for cars!
  11. I wired the flash to pass button on my Husky to a PTT harness also, very easy to do.

    Coyotes NOT welcome

I shot a crow once with those super colibris. Seems strong enough for small pests. Try it in your 22 rifle, and hold the action closed when you shoot it and it works well and super quiet. I have a Ruger semi auto Target pistrol with a 6 7/8 " tapered barrel that is loud as hell !
  13. hahahahahah, I love it ! I had a bike stolen back in 1976 !
  14. Highway Dirt Bikes has switches. If you use the combo switch you could use the horn for push to talk. I dont know what you could use the turn signal switch for. http://www.highwaydi...p07y53i8mgch77q
  15. Yeah it was a bummer for about 4 months. I really appreciated you guys getting my bike for me. Kris, I remember that incident...was a bummer for you, but me and Mimi had fun going back in Fish Creek to retrieve your Husky !
  16. Both my feet looked like that, but it was my heels that were shattered like maracas, (no pinning could be done, just had to let them heal!)
  17. Foot pain really sucks, believe me, I know ! Heal quickly and we will see you out there.

    Wheel Weights

It is a much better point to start off from when balancing your tires. Yeah, that's what I mentioned. It's not perfect but close enough for most bikes

    Wheel Weights

I removed the factory rim lock, drilled a hole opposite the original rim lock and installed 2 new identical rim locks, (both front and rear).
  23. Excellent adventure and write-up! Wish I could find the time and resources to do something like that.
