Maybe you could swap out the tank and carb with someone that has a good running bike and try it. The parts changer mentality of diagonosis could be used to eliminate those items.

You cannot go off of exit 77 on the 8, down the s-2, or up the I-5 without the BP giving a full questioneer. Yes you were in the good old USA! Or wait - maybe you only get stopped in the US :declare: It is good to see all the new folks out there on this ride. I have never seen that cool bridge or that awesome switchback trail. Oh yeah - nice water crossing I think that I want to ride with that fellow La Mesa rider with out o state plates? I need to start riding one group rides instead of last minute solos like last week. Plaster City In Ko Pa Exit 77 -- BP " I never saw a bike like that out here before" Looking forward to the DD10 to meet some of you guys. If you see an out of place street bike in the dez say hi. :clapping: The KTM will be back together soon -
Managed to get the night off from work so I am in. My son will be with me - don't worry about your bad language - he has heard it all before - on his video games. Oh yeah my fake-name alter-ego will be there too!

One of my favorite desert rigs was my old 66 f-250 with a Partial Cabover-Camper. Just a shell with a fold-down bunk and a portipotti. Later I got a trailer to keep the fuel smell out of the shell. It was a Callen. The other cabovers I owned were not always fun - too heavy - they break apart when you off-road with them. If I were ever to get a toyhauler RV I would prefer a sealed garage so fuel-smells would stay out of the living quarters. Edit - I see that one is an Alpenlite - They use to make the best 5th-wheels. Could be worth a look if you got lots of cash and an 1 ton truck. Wait if you got lots of cash then you could buy this

A Plumber came out to a Doctor's home and did about 15 minutes of work. He gave the bill to the Dr. and the Doctor said " I'm a Doctor and I can't even charge that much" to which the Plumber replied " I couldn't charge that much when I was Doctor either" One of my Dad's jokes. I may have a contact for you - let me make a call and I'll PM you the info.

Typical T&D Guy -
1.) jump into a "real" ride - carry a spare tube, an inflator, tire irons, - make sure your L has a skid plate, the tires are inflated, and that you are packing enough water, let someone know where you are going and check in when you return - feel free to PM me. 2.) Don't try to keep up with Bike Slut unless you ride your 650L like This 3.)Call KTMrad and try to get a spot for the Desert Dash this weekend 4.)Come up with a cool screen name so that people have to remember two names. 5.)Date Brunettes or redheads. (or maybe blondes) 6.)Keep the L even after you buy a DRZ, KTM, Husky or other bike. She will always be a faithful workhorse. 7.)Talk some smack online but Ride. If you find yourself talking more smack than riding then - stop posting. 8.) Pull in the clutch and hit the kill switch when you encounter horses or hikers - Share the trail (Like Schwinn) 9.) advrider.com 10.) don't try to find the "perfect tire" for on and off road use. Get a spare set or rims and tires or a more dirt oriented bike. 11.) Eleven? How appropriate - the link is broke - just press search!

If you have trouble getting hall passes to enjoy your hobby then you are with the wrong person. I agree with SDL - drop the word ploy. And yes, you may have to give up a weekend of riding here and there to do things with or for your significant other.

DD 09 is coming up - he won't stay away? Plus I just picked up an 04 KLR so I could be more Pyro-like. Except it is the wrong color.

Are they radials? My Raptor came with radials and when they punctured I bought new holeshot tires (very heavy duty) at Darryl Smith Sand Tires. I recommend taking the tires to Darryl and asking him what to do. Don't buy the cheap wheel sets from Cycle Gear. Flats on Quads really suck and it is not worth messing around with. But then quads suck too! Except at Glamis. Anyone want to buy or trade for a 04 660 Raptor with only a few trips on it?
