  2. CALIFORNIA OHV RIDERS — KNOW YOUR STICKER! California’s OHV registration rules have changed, and there is still a lot of confusion surrounding Green Stickers, legacy Red Stickers, and the newer Tan Stickers—especially when it comes to competition dirt bikes. The good news: 2003–2021 Red Sticker motorcycles and ATVs can now generally be ridden year-round on public lands where that type of OHV use is allowed. But there is an important catch: 2022-and-newer noncompliant competition motorcycles did NOT become Green Sticker trail bikes. These vehicles fall under California’s Tan Sticker/noncompliant classification and are generally restricted to closed-course competition use on public lands. If you own a dirt bike—or are thinking about buying one—understanding the model year, CARB certification, emissions label, and DMV classification is more important than ever. Click the link to read the full article and learn what California’s current OHV sticker rules mean for you. https://corva.org/CORVA-Action-Items
  3. This is some really great riding up there and yes there are singletrack trails ! Well the word really got out this year and the available registration slots we have left are almost completely filled up. We just have a limited number of openings left before we will have to cut off the registration page way early this year. If you have not signed up yet, better get it done quick as this ride is almost full. You can go to our registration page 15th Annual Dual Sport & Adventure Bike Ride and get your entry in. Your entry includes our awesome America 250th Birthday logo on the front of our ride shirts and these will be a one of a kind shirt. The shirt order has been placed this Monday and we will only have limited quantities at the event. If you have come to one of our events in the past we would like to see you again. If you have never been to one of our events we would like to meet you and have you as a supporter in the future. Working together we can keep our "Public Lands Open to the Public Not From the Public". If you have already signed up for our 15th Annual Adventure Bike & Dual Sport Ride that's great. If you have not, please get all of your friends and riding buddies together and get signed up ASAP as this event is filling up fast and we don't want you to miss out on the opportunity to have a great time with friends and family. If you just want to come out and have a great Saturday night dinner and raffle and enjoy a great evening with us to show your support you can do that also. This is your chance to come out and help support the Stewards in keeping your favorite roads and trails open for you and your families enjoyment. Please go to www.sotsnf.org to get registered while there is still time. We look forward to seeing all of you that have come before and all of you that we will be meeting for the first time. Tech Day August 1st

We'll be there. I posted on a few FB groups, hopefully we get some takers.
  9. Hi All, I've never liked asking for monetary help from people to keep our forums and website alive. In the past years ago, we put on the Desert Dash dualsport event yearly and we usually brought in enough money to cover the costs of the website. But we haven't done the Desert Dash in a few years and this winter it probably won't work out because I won't be able to ride for awhile due to eye surgery. I will be posting a poll to see how many people find our forums valuable and helpful and if they'd want to donate to keep the forums alive for another year. Hopefully next year in the fall and/or winter we can put on a dualsport ride or 2 as fund raisers. Here is a breakdown of costs: Linode / Linux server hosting costs about $75/month = $900/year. Go Daddy domain hosting, SSL certificates, etc. cost about $100/year. Invision Power Board license and other fees cost about $80/year. We haven't had anyone maintain our site for a couple of years and it was running fine, but we recently had issues that shut the site down. Uncle Cameron who built the site about 24 years ago came to our rescue once again and got the site back online but there are still issues remaining and we need to do monthly maintenance. He originally asked if I could pay $100/month and I said no, so he offered to maintain the site for $50/month. That will cost $600/year. Total approximate costs to keep the forums going is $1680/year. If people are willing to donate enough to keep the site up for another year then I'll do that. 56 people at $30/each would be about enough, but I don't even know if we have 56 active people who would donate. If you'd like to donate using paypal, please click on "sending to a friend" otherwise I don't get the full amount. If we won't get enough committed donations, I will leave the site up for about 3 months and then take it down and it will be gone for good. Please let me know what you think, any input you may have and please answer the poll questions. The link to donations is on the front page of our site at https://dualsport-sd.com/ or you can PM me. If I don't get enough donations within about a month and I decide to shut the site down, then I will refund your donations. Thanks for listening.

    Corral Canyon Trail Maintenance

    until
This Saturday, May 2nd, is a maintenance day starting at Four Corners at 9:00am. Moto Ed will be working on Ranger trail. There will be food (cooked breakfast, come early) and prizes. The forest gets credit for volunteer hours and that really helps, so come out and trim some trails.

  12. I can't go, my eye is still recovering from surgery and I shouldn't be doing anything in dusty environments or any bending or lifting for another few weeks.

    Legends

Yeah, I heard it too a few days ago. Bummed, Ted was a great guy.
  15. Wish I could but can't show you around until sometime in May. I already mentioned you should get the trail map for Corral Canyon from the Cleveland National Forest offices.
  16. I can't ride until May, but now I am cleared to go up in elevation so I can drive across the mountains. Thinking about doing some 4 wheelin' somewhere in Anza Borrego this Sunday, nothing gnarly since I have a stock 4x4 F150. Anyone interested ?
  17. I may need to get a small bike again.

  21. From Paul at GP Motorcycles San Diego... KTM IS ON THE GAS AGAIN! Many of you may have heard that KTM went through a restructuring and a lot of doomsday misinformation was spreading on the internet. This video celebrates the fact that KTM is back in full force and is as strong as ever! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwKXBwFE2hg I can personally tell you, as a USA Dealer for KTM, that throughout the restructuring, we noticed very little in the way of business interruption. In fact, KTM has been and continues to provide us with great support both on the sales side as well as in service. We at GP are thrilled to be part of the KTM family, and with the all-new 390 Adventures rolling in now, and the factory up and running full speed on all four lines, we are eagerly looking forward to the arrival of the 2026 SX lineup and are taking deposits for the exciting RC 990 coming later this year! Ready to Race!
  22. I can't ride until May sometime. Hopefully ride with you guys then.
