I completely concur! It was a fantastic ride. The terrain was very diverse as was the skill level required. The technical single to the wide open fire road. It was a fast pace ride with few crashes. No injuries or damage. All in all you could not ask for more, except more time to ride. Next time! The trail system up there is vast. Many more trips will be required to explore. We had so much fun riding we did not really stop and site see. Thanks again Steve!

I would have to say that really sucks! You don't ever, ever leave the meeting point with ONE man left on the trail. I understand people being hurt, but no one was dying! But someone could of been, on the trail! Yes that's worst case scenario, but ---- happens and we are supposed to watch out for each other. ---- why go with a group, might as well just go by yourself! I am glad tntmo had the tools and supplies to get himself out of the jam! I have been noticing a lot of people are not carrying tools, tubes and necessities when doing this sport. If you can spend the money on your bike, you can spend the money on equipment to save your own ass! I go out with newbs who don't know and don't have anything, but I do this knowing that it is up to me and I take on that responsibility. Experienced riders who don't carry anything are just being jackasses! The rest of us don't need to be your supply train. That being said I would NEVER deny someone the help or supplies they needed to get them home!

Thanks Crawdaddy. I like the ramp tips and adding the rubber mats for the non slipage factor. If you add a eye wood screw in the bottom, it wood act like a tie down. Tj I called to see if I could have the kit express mailed, but they said they could not get it here until monday! I then called local to see what was available, and those type of kits had to be ordered. If you want to buy ramps NChouse of motorcycles said he would give you a deal. For the two ramp set up(not wood) will get pricey. Almost better off buying the two bike joe hauler(MMMHHH)! Time to call back. I called back and they were $800.00 and only carried 700 lbs. No deal!

I have a big truck that can fit another bike, but I do not have a ramp and steps to get the bike in it. I usually just use my Joehauler. Where are you located?

When and where will the rendezvous spot be?

I have the 150 Terra flex, but have not mounted it. I am worried about rubbing. Not only on the usual swingarm issues, but also under the seat. I have noticed that the 130 dunlop has been rubbing a little under the rear fender/subframe.

I am now thinking that I will do the big bear ride on the 23/24. Still not determined if I will be going with the family up to our house or solo. It would be nice to ride with a group from SDAR. I am in either way.

Listening to all this talk about snakes is making me wonder if I should carry a snake bite kit. What is actually in a kit, and does it really work?

I would like to be in on this. Depending on what weekend you decide. I have my own transportation and place to stay. Depending on how big the crowd is at SCHWINN's place some can stay with me. I have a house in crestline. I need to learn the trails up there for future rides!

So snake bit kits are worthless! No one carries a phone that actually works were we ride to call an ambulance. What is the proper protocol. Let the victim ride his bike as far as he can while he gets his adrenaline pumping! Maybe "Dont Move" I am going to find a place where my phone might work! Neither option sounds that good for the victim. I think if it were me, I would apply a tourniquet and ride as far as I could towards the road/help! I dont know if that would be right, but WHAT TO DO? Time to add a tourniquet to the pack!

I had a great time! Trails were great. Scenery was awesome. The trails could of been longer. If I would of had more time I would of gone back to check out the springs with bikeslut and bruce. Leaving that hour early saved me. Just made it back in time to unload, clean up and off to pick the kids up! Thanks to Chris, Slut and Bruce for a great day!

OK people we have a change. I have contacted all that I knew where going. CardiffChris, Bikeslut, Bruce and all have agreed to change the rendezvous time to 8:30 at Deer springs AM/PM. I am posting this change so that if any of you lurkers who did not respond can show up ON TIME! Thanks guys for being so accomodating!

Hey guys I would like to go on this ride, but the late departure time is to much of a gamble to make it back in time for father commitments. This is not my ride so asking if you guys would be able, or like to move the departure/ rendezvous time up to 8:30? If not I completely understand. That would force me to have to show Hammer and crew how to tear up the trails tomorrow instead!
