Just posted on FB For those that are riding Lark Canyon OHV off McCain Valley Road you can park at the pin drop and ride into Lark Canyon on a plate bike. The parking is right where the pavement ends at the McCain Valley entrance sign. The Ranger was ticketing people parking along McCain Valley Road yesterday. It's open for continuous travel but no parking anywhere. Also, since the McCain Valley dirt road leading to the Lark Canyon OHV entrance is street legal only you have to have to have a plated bike to get in. Since we had one non plated bike with us I thought we could drive down to the entrance of the OHV area drop it off but no dice there either. The Ranger stated he would ticket us the second the bike came of the truck. I almost asked if we could drop a ramp from the tail gate over the fence.....

I was asked to create this due to the recent tragedy, so we created a SOLO RIDER RIDE thread in the "Motorcycle rides, events category". We do realize that people will continue to ride alone so this gives them an outlet to post some info.

As many know he took his last breath, for now, on what we believe to be Saturday, April 25th, 2020. We know this based on the finding that he had severe, asymptotic coronary artery disease upon closer look. My daddy found a spot to rest, gently laid his bike down on its side, hung his goggles on his handle bars so carefully, and placed his helmet in a safe spot with his gloves tucked inside. He was laying down under a little shade and while feeling a light spring breeze with the warm sunshine kissing his cheeks, he had a massive heart attack and fell asleep in death. We are stunned as my dad was probably the most health conscious person anyone has ever met, but sometimes these things happen without warning. We know that he believed he was never alone and that the god we shared, Jehovah, was always with him and now my dad, Bobby, is safe in our Heavenly Father’s memory. We find peace knowing he got to go on one last ride for the time being and didn’t suffer. All of the wonderful things we shared about my daddy that served as clues as to what could have happened were just simple testaments to how amazing he was, and in fact him going on that ride had nothing to do with his death at all. That ride likely allowed my daddy to die with a degree of contentment and pure joy. That mountain will forever be “Bobby’s Mountain” to those that loved him. Enough speculation. Many people were vested both emotionally and physically in trying help find Mr Coumo. I can understand people wanting to know what happened so that they can have closure. Hopefully this will be released at some point but until that choice is made I would ask this thread not become negative in any way or I will have to shut it down. I have tried to verify this GFM page. I have reached out for confirmation, but have not received a reply. I can understand as I do not have a direct channel and they are dealing with many things as well as many people trying to contact them. I posted then took down and was contacted again being told is was legit. I did see it on the friend of the families FB page. I am sorry if I did not explain well enough. I was trying to let people know that we created a SOLO RIDER RIDE thread for when a rider is heading out solo they can post info on where they are going and when they will return.

Terrible news. Condolences to the family and friends. RIP Mr Camou.

I believe most people who are out helping know what is needed at this point. Many are still looking into area's that may not have been traveled. Many others are hiking, beating the brush and searching by foot the areas that cannot be accessed by bike. All have a common goal to help this man and should be praised for doing so!

I believe if you read the comments posted you would see that people have adjusted their searches from just covering the trails to hiking in and searching.

Katie Camou 6 hrs Hi guys. The search continues. We are holding strong to our faith and have a positive attitude towards finding my dad. Please keep the prayers coming now more than ever. Anyone who wants to help our civilian volunteer crew, which contains expert level hikers can now just go through sheriffs who have my contact info. It is now too overwhelming to answer DMs and comments on FB, so again, call sheriffs if you want to help. I am out there personally in the dirt and brush screaming and searching for my dad. PLEASE listen and respect authorities and don’t try to go rogue, we are trying to be as organized and thorough as humanly possible. Don’t let curiosity keep you near search efforts, this will take up space and resources. My dad is extremely resourceful and resilient. We believe he has the strength to make it out of this alive. Please send prayers. I miss him so much. We are a very close family and he texts me goodnight every night with a “😘” to make sure I’m safe. He served as a volunteer firefighter for Campo Fire Dept. several years back and has a heart that wants to help others. Helping others is his driving force and he would be out there just like all of you if it was your dad. My mom is in pieces over this as they are the best of friends. They love to laugh together and shower their rescue dog, Cricket, with kisses. Just trying to stay focused on bringing him home.

I covered a lot of ground around Deerhorn Valley Rd., headed out off Manzanita Way past substation and followed power line road out a few miles to this point with 2 other riders. https://www.google.com/maps/place/32%C2%B039'14.1%22N+116%C2%B041'11.5%22W/@32.6539271,-116.688042,650m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d32.6539237!4d-116.6865302 Looking on Google Maps, we still didn't hit every road out there, but we did talk to power line workers and they said they would convey news to chopper pilot who was setting poles in the area. That chopper was flying low and covering quite a bit of ground too. So hopefully this area had some decent coverage.

I spent the day in the Otay area between Otay lake and the border. Small two and single track putting and stopping and walking the whole day. Search aircraft was flying overhead off and on the whole day
