  1. If I can get home early enough tonight I will be there. I'll be on my 690.

    690 ABS bleed help.

Ok. I get it. Does this get the fluid moving or something?

    690 ABS bleed help.

Hey fellas. Had my front ABS kick in during some hard riding last weekend. Since then the front brake has had a soft, almost unresponsive feel. I think it might just need a bleed. The pads look fine and I dont think I have lost any fluid. I have never messed with bleeding, but I have replaced many brake parts. Would anybody want to point me in a good direction so I can do it myself? Or would anybody like to show me some things? There would be at least a six pack in it for you. Thanks guys, Etch.

Anybody know of a flat dirt lot?

I think I know where you are talking about, it's a large area off the 11. They are doing a lot of construction down there with the new wall so I believe security has been tightened because of some vandalism. I might be headed up otay mountain from pio pico tomorrow so I'll see what's going on.
  5. Does anybody know of a flat, level spot near El Cajon/Alpine that I can ride in? I want to practice slow speed maneuvers, flat cornering and counter balancing. I have been riding dirt bikes nearly my whole life, but after a couple trips to motoventures I realized I have been doing a lot of things very wrong. I taught myself some bad habits that I want to change. I'm looking for a flat dirt lot with some area to practice that I wont get kicked out of. I want to spend a whole day doing these techniques to drill them into my head. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys. Etch.
  6. Hey everyone. I go by Etch and I've lived in SD county for about 8 years. I grew up riding dirt bikes in central/northern California. My job brought me down here and I sold all my bikes because I couldn't afford the move costs. The itch never went away so I knew I would have to ride again. I bought an Africa Twin about six months ago and started lurking in this forum. About three weeks ago I traded in my AT for a KTM690 because of many reasons. I am eager to get out and start riding with people like I grew up doing. Thanks for allowing me to join this community, Etch
