I had such a great time that I reenacted the experience with my 1290. At least the sausage part.

I was part of that group on my 690. Mikey777 had posted the ride on the SDAR Facebook page the night before.

So we've heard somewhere between 2 and 8 miles. How was the Skye Valley / Espinosa loop? I did it on my 1290 a few months ago and there were a lot of water crossings and downed trees. Was it open for 4x4's?

I've got the Dirt Napper self lift. I've used it twice, once on my 1290 and once on a friend's bike. Although I don't know if they're still made, the link to their website is dead. I can still lift my 1290, but if I'm injured or the bike is at a bad angle a lift device is nice to have. Just make sure it's in your top bag, not inaccessible in a side bag.

If needed, I just use a length of safety wire attached to an extra valve core and fish it through that way
