Storm coming Thursday, where to ride?
Circus Finger replied to Pokey151's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
Sounds amazing. I cant go Friday due to work but I'm available both days this weekend. If the rain pushes it to Sunday I am in 100%. If not, I may go explore it a bit on my own Saturday. I cant resist a new trail. -

I had not heard of Bee Canyon before I saw this post. Looks fun. Especially for a Newb like me. Let me know if this ride is going to happen. Is Saturday an option? -

I'll try to do some research on some good trails and route. Keep an eye out on the informal ride. -
Palomar Divide This Weekend

Hit me up if you are interested in doing the Palomar Divide this weekend. Most of it is a slower more technical trail but there are some faster sections. I was thinking we could meet up at the Park-N-Ride at Hwy 76 and the 15. Then head up Hwy 76 to Hwy 79, do the trail loop, and come back the way we came. I have Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday off, so any of those days work for me. Lets start as early as possible to beat the heat ! -

Just so I don’t make any more rookie mistakes, can someone differentiate a ‘ride report’ vs The attendees of a ride chatting about its highlights? Ive already posted something in the wrong place once (my first post) and don’t want to end up in the principals office. Thanks -

Thanks everyone for coming out and making a new member feel welcomed. It was a fun ride, perfect weather, good tacos, and great company. Very much looking forward to getting together again soon and riding new trails. -

I got lost in the replies. Was there a unanimous decision on time and location for the meetup? Ive seen a few variations. If I don't hear back I guess Ill go to The Roundup Grill at 7, the Hideout at 8, and the trail head at 9. Im guessing I'll bump into someone along the way. -
Anyone up for a ride this weekend?

10-4. Gotcha. How does this work for everyone. Day: Sunday Time: 7:00 A.M. Meeting Location: The Round Up Grill Located at the Lake Henshaw Resort Address: 26439 CA-76, Santa Ysabel, CA 92070 The trail head is about 10 or so miles down HWY 70 from there. -
Hello all. Glad to be here. New to the group. I've been riding for about 30 years. I have always had either sport bikes or dirt bikes (or both) but this is my first dual sport. It s a 2018 KTM Adventure 1090 R. I am having an absolute blast on this thing and have already done Nate Harrison Grade and the Palomar Divide Truck trail. I'm always looking for new trails and folks to ride with. I live up in Fallbrook so I am close to Hwy 76 and Palomar Mountain but will ride anywhere. I will keep an eye out for upcoming rides and look forward to meeting some of you soon.

Sorry, I guess I posted in the wrong place and then I moved but wasn't sure if I should delete the original. Still getting used to this forum stuff. Sunday sounds good to me. I'll leave it up to the group to pick a time and location to meet up. It will be refreshing to not have the added thrill of tackling a long trail solo and hoping for the best. -

I've got a 4 day weekend so I am up for any of those days. If I don't get any interest I will probably do Saturday, but if someone steps up I am cool with any of those days. By the way, I saw TTR250 in your profile. I had one of those for about 10 yrs. Fun bike for sure ! -

KTM Adventure 1090 R Traded in my Ducati HyperMotard for it and couldn't be happier. Every time I go on a ride and get more tuned in with the bike it just keeps getting better and better. -
Where in SD are you located? I live up in North County in Fallbrook and have found some trails up here near Palomar Mountain. I just did the Palomar Mountain Divided Truck Trail this last weekend by myself. It was a blast !

Noob here also. Did that talk of a Noob ride get any more traction? Sounds like a blast.
