Can't go wrong with the Maxxis Desert IT! I search for grip in sand and have found it in this tire. I like the 110 width better that the 120 for quicker cornering control. 120's a better choice for hill climbs though.

Hey CVRick, I decided to have a leak down check since I am running at 367 hours with 9845 miles on original components. Found 100% valve leak through the rings. Loosened the valves and the leak dropped to 38% through the rings. Knew I needed a top end, so I decided to have the bottom end opened to fix the slight play found in the counter shaft. RFS engines seem to work on the counter shaft (Play) around 10K miles. Note: It's only a hundred dollars more to get a "full crank assembly" verses just buying the crank and bearings with labor included. Due to the high hours I wanted a thorough engine rebuild.

    Kx 250

Good Job! Looks great. I enjoyed my 1990 KX 250 (1st yr. perimeter frame on any dirt bike) set it up to be a woods bike.
  7. I've seen a ghost rider before, but in this picture, never seen a ghost bike (guys still holding the bars!) before.
  8. This rates as a "bucket list" ride for sure! Thanks for sharing!

    Honda CB 500-4 1972

You could make it! I've heard that it's 20% the bike and 80% the rider

Great way to show other riders they have back-up just riding by! I have given the "questioning okay sign" numerous times to riders on the side of the road, usually receive a nod and an "okay sign back." Once down in Key West, I did this (to a Harley rider) and he gave the please help sign. I went to the nearest gas station and bought a can with some gas for him. Very appreciative and he left the can on the side of the road for the next angel experience to happen. Great story Zubb! Thanks!
  14. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing these!

Right? Pretty woman, GSA running out of gas... How far does the reserve go? Probably further than my KTM can go on a full tank!

Zubb...did you know she was behind you? Sped up and faked being out of gas? Nice move Maverick!
  17. Frame geometry/size looks light weight. I imaging that piece below the fuel tank is a "nerf plate" of some sort? Protecting the bottom/low side of the fuel cell? Thanks for the pic's!

    Showed up today!

Very nice! You did all the right things to that buggy! Hope folks see that too and that you get very close to the price that you are asking!
  19. Wow...what riding is all about! Nice, thanks for posting!
