  1. Fire tower road is a no go. There is another road about 3 or 4 miles past the fire tower that goes through.
  2. Last weekend a couple buddies and I set off for an epic 3 day ride. Our goal was to ride from jawbone to Kennedy meadows, maximizing single track. We started at the jawbone ranger station and headed up through the Piutes and hit all the single track we could handle. Finally we dropped into lake Isabella, filled up with gas, and food. After lunch the plan was to loop through the greenhorns and eventually make it to Kernville for the night. Unfortunately we ran into some bike issues on the way up out of keyesville and had to head back to Isabella to get some parts. After the bike repairs we took the road into Kernville. Our plan for the following day was to head up rincoln, loop through Kennedy meadows and back down Cannel plunge. Unfortunately rincoln is still closed so we just went up Cannel and did a small loop in Kennedy meadows. Toward the top of Cannel I came across a bear in the trail, so that was pretty cool. We made it back early enough to go rafting down the Kern and the river was cranking. We headed back on Monday, looping through the greenhorns and back over the Piutes. We ended up riding about 275 miles over the 3 days.
  3. Yeah and all the bulldozed areas are roped off with environmental sensitive areas. Total joke.
  4. Any idea what their route was? A few of us have been kicking around the idea of doing this trip. We have done a couple 3 day 200+ mile/ day trips in Baja and it's crazy to think it's still fun on the last day.
  5. Is there still a trip planned for this month? The pictures look awesome.
  6. I may be interested. I've been wanting to ride that area for a while. I've done several of the past sterwarts of the Sierras rides and they are a great group. I have a plated CRF and enjoy the technical stuff.
  7. That looks like an awesome ride. I would love to get on the "list" for the next one.
  8. My brother and I are registered. We did it last year and had a great time. Keeping my fingers crossed for some rain a couple days before. Is everyone camping out?
  9. Hoping its not raining so I can take the kids riding. Keep an eye out for 2 KTM 65's and a CRF.
